republican presidential candidates also in the southern states this weekend. donald trump with tremendous momentum. senator ted cruz admitting trump could easily be, well not be easily stoppable if he sweeps the march 1st primaries. he took aim at cruz and rub owe. >> i watched this lightweight, total lightweight. his new attack is he calls me a con artist. he's a very nasty guy. i thought ted cruz was a liar but rubio is worse.
>> he's flying around on hair force one. he put out a picture of me having make up put on me at the debate. >> it was striking listening to him express he was defended. this from a man who over and over have stood up and used profanity and vulgar insults. i got to say, i don't think it's a good thing to see presidential candidates just behaving like school children bickering. >> thank goodness we've seen none of that. we have the best political analysis for you this afternoon.
both you have, welcome. we've got a contest that we're going to start counting votes in a little under two hours. the polls say this is a run way way. >> i think it is a run away. the african-american voters are a majority. hillary is doing well in south carolina. she's going to have a big win today. >> kathy, the minority vote in south carolina expected in most, if not all the southern states, will make the difference. >> it's amazing what a difference eight years makes. every four years the electorate
gets about 2% less white. she's learned her lesson from 2008. she's ready to go in the southern states. i think it will hard for bernie sapdsers to burn through that firewall. >> more contributions from the state department and the scandal worsens, 1800 e-mails classified from the batch of about 35,000. it's been turned over and released from the public. this is, if you will, a thousands cuts. she does not seem to be bleeding. >> there's a thousands minor cuts. we have to get a major cut pretty soon. >> that's what i would do. a secretary of state kept a separate, a separate channel for official conduct of official business. there seems to be young, next,
it's a clinton. >> it's a slap in the face. i don't know if he can. if he can, and they put all this together with her, maybe, maybe. >> is this the beginning of the end for bernie sanders in your judgment? >> i think he will be around and won't go to the back of senate chambers anymore. it's going to be a movement but not a viable movement for presidency. you'll get delegates everywhere and still attract young voters. she'll win this thing and win it. >> looking ahead the super tuesday, the democrats with nine primary, nine states. the republicans with ten. over 600 delegates at stake in
all of that. give us your outlook or whether or not rubio or this new seeming personality transplant is making end roads. >> the truth of the matter is you don't get in a knife fight with a knife fighter. by getting down and calling names and the rest of it. the two guys that have policy and substance are if the street yard name calling and trump's always going to win that battle. the only race that's competitive is texas and trump is making end roads. if he beats cruz in texas, cruz is done. i'm not predicting that, but that could happen. every place else it looks like trump's momentum will carry on. >> the gop establishment in real trouble. >> it's in as much trouble as it considers itself in. >> i don't care what they consider themselves. they considered themselves fairly smart. they have shown anything but that. what do you consider them? >> i consider them to rally around trump. the grand hold party has to be
there. it's got to start listening to the american people. >> intriguinglintriguingly, tru you were suggesting, rubio and cruz are starting to act like street fighters, trump is making noises about being more inclusive, bringing democrats and more people into the republican party at precisely the correct, inflection point in the campaign. >> it is the right time. >> great to have you here. >> a lot on the line for hillary clinton. she needs to prove she can fire up democratic voters and make big opportunity. fox news chief white house correspondent ed henry joins population.
there were people trickling in. not strong turn out. that's been an early problem for hillary clinton is not getting that energy or enthusiasm. she's widely expected to win here tonight, beat bernie sanders. she has a big edge among african-american voters, overall. going into super tuesday that can help. as ed was just pointing out the democrats reward these delegates proportiona proportionately. that enables bernie sanders even as he's likely to lose south carolina, he'll walk away with some delegates. he's hoping to do the same on super tuesday. make eek out a victory. he's live right now in rochester. he thinks what college students there. he's been firing up big rallies. he's been having very large rallies in those states. if you win a couple of those and finish a strong secondning neva
claim the nomination. john roberts joins us live from georgia with the very latest. john. >> we've moved to atlanta. we were in a marco rubio event. we saw the new marco rubio on campaign trail since the debate where he took on donald trump in ways he's never have before. ways a lot of his supporters wanted to see him do a long time ago. that's one of the big questions is why didn't marco do this earlier when he could have made a difference. donald trump has kind of perfected the art of the political wedgie. marco rubio is trying to mamp him almost word for word at this rally today really taking aim at the fact donald trump was sweating on his upper lip during the debate an suggested maybe he wet his pants while standing behind the podium. i asked about all this personal
reflection on donald trump and how he is coming back at him. we'll see that in a second. first here is rubio. >> you attacked him for having a spray tan. >> he can afford to get a better tan. he needs to sue whoever did that to his face. >> lightweight rubio. total lightweight. little mouth on him. bing, bing, bing. his new attack is he called me a con artist. i'm a con man. you know, i built a great business, and believe me, i wish my father loaned me 200 million or gave me 200 million. i wish he had 200 million in those days. i wish my father gave me that money. i borrowed a tiny amount of money, a million dollars. i started a business. it's worth much more than $10 billion right now. >> reporter: maybe a million dollars is a tiny amount for donald trump but it's a lot of money for most in america. all of this is a lot of fun
watching them throw mud back and forth. many in the republican party is worried all this mud slinging, getting down in the red georgia clay isn't going to do the party any good when it comes to november because they'll look back and say what all this schoolyard bickering all about. >> you don't hear anybody talking about their concerns about trump being presidential enough. now we have cruz and rubio as the designated hit men for the gop establishment. you talk about a guy who's just taken his brand, whatever you think of it, he's just destroyed it. >> reporter: he is a pretty good junk yard dog. i've seen him a lot on the cam train trail and he's different guy than he was a little while ago. he's talking much more quickly and more nimble on his feet.
all these charges of being a robot has gone away. there are a couple of other issues in addition to the mud slinging and the jokes about the spray tan and hair. >> don't forget about the meltdown sweating that nobody has seen before. con artist. and also being dismissed as little rubio. we're there. there's not much place left to g ? >> reporter: i was really surprised when rubio suggested donald trump wet his pants. there's a couple of serious issues that kind of hit trump where is he lives that they have been attacking on. >> i just want to repeat that. 35 years ago because context is not accompanying all of this
nonsense in the spewing of venom. >> reporter: that's true. this is an area where trump may be a little bit vulnerable. this idea of illegal workers and hiring foreign workers when he's supposed to be the tjobs guy. >> all right. always good to talk to you. in atlanta. a lot more still ahead here. who does hillary clinton fear most in the republican field? well, one of the finest, finest democratic strategists in the country. he knows and he joins me, next. voiceover: studies show that sitting at a desk all day can lead to serious problems,
including: neck and back pain, high blood pressure, and low energy. in fact, if you sit most of the day, your risk of having a heart attack is almost the same as if you smoke. prolonged sitting even makes it harder for you to burn calories and lose weight. man #1: fortunately, there's a solution. inmovement, the affordable, award winning, standing desk. woman #1: an inmovement standing desk lets you move effortlessly between standing and sitting throughout your day. woman #2: inmovement standing desks are affordable; come fully assembled and fit right on top of your existing desk. man #1: inmovement standing desks are height-adjustable. woman #1: the retractable keyboard tray leaves your desktop free for papers and other essentials. woman #2: and, unlike many standing desks, inmovement desks come in a variety of colors to match your space. man #1: i love that it's large enough to hold everything i need, including two monitors. woman #2: it's perfect for wherever you work; office, school, or at home. woman #1: and, every inmovement standing desk comes with a full 30-day, money-back guarantee.

digit win there, at least. i don't think there's any doubt. >> senator sanders has disappeared from the discussion, at least up there. >> lyme looking to see, sanders could with inthat state. if he only wins it by five, six, seven points, it tells you how he's underperforming in places that he has to win big and try to keep up with obama's delegate
account with her. the road that says it's not going to happen starts tonight. >> do you expect her to pivot, if she has, obviously the big win in south carolina and the big night on super tuesday. do you expect a full on pivot and relenting ining attacking. >> that will be where the pivot. >> how will democrats be if we continue to see turn out for the clinton candidacy. whatever energy seems to be surrounding his campaign which
seems to be hitsing significant head winds. >> i think you like the see energy and you're seeing a lot more on the republican side right now. until we know what's happening on the republican side, whoever the nominee is, whether it's trump, rubio, cruz, they're going to have their own set of problems putting the party back together given what's been going on the last few days. >> you don't see a republican party energized for victory on november 8th. that's me being fecetious, joe. >> i think it's going to take awhile for the party to put it back together regardless of who wins.
>> always gate to talk to you. so much. up next, exit poll information. we'll have a full thoughts about that for you coming right up. 20 million bucks going in to a super pac. that money designed to do only one thing, attack, attack donald j. trump. the former head of the south carolina republican party will be with us here next. stay with us. you don't want to miss it. [vet] two yearly physicals down.
a few stops later, and it looks like big ollie is on the mend. it might not seem that glamorous having an old pickup truck for an office... or filling your days looking down the south end of a heifer, but...i wouldn't have it any other way. look at that, i had my best month ever. and earned a shiny new office upgrade. i run on quickbooks. that's how i own it. executive director of the south carolina republican party, former huckabee campaign senior and advisor hogan and right here washington times columnist, fox
news contributor tammy bruce. >> thanks for having me. >> this is quite day. i've been watching trump and rubio and cruz sort of on the sidelines. it's got everything but the blood. give me first, if you will, your view on what in the world is going on that we have assumed a victory for the clintons. wasn't she supposed to be in desperate straits a couple of weeks ago. >> fantasy the rule how certain people view democrats. there's no real race and no real
options. it's real excitement. it's real alternatives. >> until you happen to be in the gop establishment. >> unless you have an establishment that literally lost control and is now watching this frame work move forward, i think it's exciting. the american people have the options. i think donald trump might be uncatchable at this point. >> you generated a lot of excitement with your republican primary. the turn out was huge. does the excitement linger and how much trouble do you think the republican party is in because of an establishment. >> i think it will be fractured for sure. they have to get folks to join the republican party and play
nice. 60% -- >> you're not used to that are you. >> i'm telling you. i've always been used to that because i grew up in the south. we're very diverse down here. >> in the party. >> i think so, but not writ large. we're kind of the old, whiette country club party. 60% of iowans voting for n non-white party. it's amazing they came out and voted for folks who aren't white. we are seeing so much diversity and a wealth of ideas and knowledge. >> can i add a little something to that? >> if it has something to do
with donald trump. he's my interest. he's a conflict, a confound conflict with the republican establishment. we're coming up on super tuesday. >> here's what donald trump is doing. >> washington times on monday. >> at the end of identity politics, you see the subgroup. trump is winning all them without specifically targeting them or pandering to a group. it's a message to americans as a whole. that's how republicans can win as well. all of our futures are tied to national security and the economy and honesty. then we all win. that is one of the benefits the machine can take from this to end this dynamic. it becomes naturally diverse. >> hogan, how much help does chris christie bring with him in his endorsement of donald trump? governor christie, one of the
stars, if not the star, of the republican establishment. >> right. i think he brings some credibility to the trump campaign from the establishment side. i don't know that it necessarily helps him throughout the south. i wouldn't say he's the most pop y popular governor in the south. he wanted an outsider to go in and try to change things. the governor is saying i want someone who will go from the outside and shake things up. that's what the folks want as well. someone to speak for them and on their behalf. that's what donald trump is doing. he's not pandering. >> would anyone be dreaming we'd be looking to a billionaire populous for guidance and direction on the way the republican party could enlarge
itself and be more successful an representative, working men and women, the american family and our middle class. it's been an extraordinary journey just to this point. here we go. great to have you with us. thank you so much. >> thank you. >> it wasn't so long ago that we were worried about the republican party whether or not donald trump would support the nominee. it appears he'll support the nominee. up next, governor trump now has two governors supporting him. are the establishment dominos starting to fall in the trump direction?
because they're big to you. and that is why you invest. the best returns aren't just measured in dollars. td ameritrade®. but zzzquil is different have pain medicine because why would you take a pain medicine when all you want is good sleep? zzzquil: a non-habit forming sleep-aid that's not for pain, just for sleep.
polls set to close in south carolina in an hour and a half. we have information on what voters are thinking and hearing. we have fox business reporter following up with that. is it interesting? is it fascinating? >> reporter: it's very interesting. that first wave of exit polls that are coming into fox business, we want to show you the issues that the voters care about the most in south carolina among the democrats. the economy and jobs coming in at 43% followed by health care and income inequality. you have a lot of health issues dominating. now i want to look spervegly at the candidates. let's take a look at senator
bernie sanders and how south carolina democrats feel about him. 51% say he's about right on the issues. 22% say he's too liberal. 23% say he's not liberal enough. this comes as bernie sanders has left the state already. he'scam paping anymore. i want to show you senator clinton's positions on the issues. 72% say she's about right on the issues. 15% say she's not liberal enough. you see that bernie sanders pull there and 9% say she's too liberal. clinton resonating a lot without talent and democrats at least on the issues for now. >> thank you very much. >> we have heard it from a number of other sources as well.
joining us now former chairman of the south carolina republican party, van. great to have you here. talking republicans. one weekend and we're talking democrats the next. how does it look to you right now. are the democrats going to match the intensity of the republicans. they can vote up to 25% statewide. this does not bode well when you consider that republicans voted over 100,000 new voters last saturday. a lot more enthusiasm right now for republicans. >> talking with democratic strategist, he said that's something that is not producing anxiety but it's something that party leaders are paying a great
deal of attention to not only in south carolina but nationwide. in your judgment a lasting effect on the body? i realize this is speculative in the highest order. do you get a tense we're seeing the republican party change perhaps nationwide this year. >> yeah, i think what we're doing, what we're seeing right now, i've said this before, i think we're seeing the silent majority come back home. come back into the fold. people with voter republican in the past. they felt their government and the party has let them down before. they want to see secure borders. they want to see this country safe and stand up and call radical islam what it is. here's a big story coming out of primary for democrats today in the primary. there's a 15% trustworthiness gap between hillary clinton an bernie sanders.
heaven is where it's not needed and hell where it's already in practice. >> it's always great to talk do you. >> good to be with you. up next, former mexican president doubling down insulting the united states, insulting donald trump, insulting anyone. remarkable fella. his language and sensibility to the sensible intender nature of american citizens. trump saying all he's going to do is make his wall higher and higher. >> he said he will never build that wall. what did i say? i said the wall just got ten feet taller. ten feet taller.
diplomacy trump style. we needed 30 new hires for our call center. i'm spending too much time hiring and not enough time in my kitchen. clinton e-mails they'll have to release by the close of business monday. it's the end of a nine-month long process that's been hanging over clinton's presidential campaign since its start. far more than 1800 of her e-mails have been deemed classified. that's a problem for almost -- would be a terrific problem for almost anyone but her. joining us former u.s. ambassador to the united nations. great to see you on a lovely saturday afternoon in america. >> glad to be with you, lou. >> i have to say, hillary clinton is right and the rest of us are wrong. there's no consequence. there is no affect. there's no impact. the world just keeps moving ahead despite the fact she was conducting official business on a private e-mail server which
opened everything she was doing to the prying eyes of intelligence agencies worldwide. >> i think you have to view this at two separate levels. first the political level with the complete abdication of bernie sanders to have anything to say about the e-mails. she's getting a free ride on the democratic side. you saw the exit poll from south carolina you had on a few minutes ago. terrorism, the only national security interest in the top voters minds there really at the bottom, big contrast with the republican party. the democratic primary electorate didn't care about national security like bernie. they don't care about the e-mails. they will change after the conventions. the more important level is the law enforcement level. although we only get little bits and pieces, leaks here and there, there's no doubt, there's no doubt. you cannot spin this politically. he's in serious legal trouble.
i think the attorney general made that clear this week in her testimony in congress. she was asked what was happening with the investigation. very carefully phrased, she said career lawyers and career fbi people are working on it. that's a big sign of trouble. >> you believe that the obama justice department that's ripe with political corruption. it's shown its prejudices, biases, favoritism throughout. you think they have a residual of integrity that would cause them to prosecute a former secretary of state and likely presidential nominee? >> look, i don't put anything past the obama white house. i'll tell you this from my own days at the justice department, i think the people who work on these kinds of matters are patriots. i think they are serious. i think they will build the case if this case is there and if the
administration tanks the prosecution, which is entirely possible for political reasons, i think the fbi will explode and that will be a big political problem for hillary clinton and barack obama. >> a political problem for mexico. vicente fox just caused the trump wall that will be built to rise by ten feet. this is a serious economic consequence and a serious political consequence for the mexican government. do you think they will be able to dissuade him from speaking rudely from now on? >> i think marim ree ya's react should be in fox promotional material. >> there's so much of maria that we could put into promotion that would supercede that. >> it's purely a personal reaction. it's now worse, i think from the
political point of view than simply a former president. we now have the sitting foreign minister of mexico attacking trump. i'll just say what i said the other night. if these people are backing the trump campaign, they couldn't have done a better job. did they think a tax by the government of mexico will drive the trump vote down. i think it will have a opposite affect. >> in this country for the first time, i think donald trump had it right. former president of mexico, backed out. he didn't have the guts to follow through. he can curse. he can swear. he can wear a big hat, but he doesn't keep his word. >> he was a coca-cola distributor back in the day.
>> don't take down a great american company like that. it's great to have you. it will get better and better. >> i think it will. >> do you think the wall should be 40 feet or 50? >> i think it will get higher the way they keep attacking him. why don't we have china weigh in. >> thanks so much. polls closing shortly in south carolina. we're a little over an hour away. hillary clinton, will she post a huge, huge victory. is she the nominee awaiting? former reagan political director salem radio all here with me next. stay with us. we're coming right back. voiceover: studies show that sitting at a desk all day can lead to serious problems, including: neck and back pain, high blood pressure, and low energy. in fact, if you sit most of the day, your risk of having a heart attack is almost the same as if you smoke. prolonged sitting even makes it harder for you to burn calories and lose weight.

[bassist] two late nights in blew an amp.but good nights. sure, music's why we do this, but it's still our business. we spend days booking gigs, then we've gotta put in the miles to get there. but it's not without its perks. like seeing our album sales go through the roof enough to finally start paying meg's little brother- i mean, our new tour manager-with real, actual money. we run on quickbooks.that's how we own it.
marco rubio and donald trump engaged in an all out insult fest. >> the party of lincoln and reagan is on the verge of being taken over by a con artist named donald trump. >> i'm tired and you're tired of guys like little rubio who little mouthpiece goes like a mile a minute. >> joining us now former reagan white house political director ed rollins host of the mike
gallagher show and fox news radio talk show host john gibson. great to have you here. we have extraordinarily sensitive antenna when it comes to correctness in the body politics and their expressions. do you think that donald trump and marco rubio are being too subtle here? >> you know what, americans love a good fight. we like wwe and cage matches and stuff like that. not only that, let's just face it, if rubio didn't do it now, he should have done it early. he had no hope and it looks like trump is just rolling everybody. the republican establishment better get the message from the voters that the voters are in the drivers seat and they should sit down and shut up as bill clinton yelled the other day and sit in the backseat and go along
for the ride. trump got 240,000 votes in south carolina. in '08, obama got 295,000. if she doesn't hit trump's number or obama's number, she's in trouble. >> i was in an airport coming back from houston. i'm watching one presidential candidate accuse the other one of having wet his pants on stage. the other candidate accusing the other of leaving a puddle under his feet. i'm laughing so hard. i looked around there's lady watching the tv and just grimacing or frowning so. you either roll with this or you're really angry about it and full of angst like the poor lady was in the unite club yesterday because it was bad. >> i said that donald trump was going to accomplish one thing, if nothing else, he was going to kill political correctness in this country. i did not know it would become
contagious and be an epidemic. the junior florida has had some out of body conversion. >> the problem is, wrestle mania is very popular. there's six million viewers every week on tnt. at the end of the day, donald trump has six million people on his twitter account. any time he wants to trigger that. we're now in the presidential mania and it's worse than wrest wrestle mania. the problem is -- >> is it a problem or is it healthy for the campaign. >> democracy is a mixed bag at best. voters get to participate. participating in record numbers for our party. trump is driving that. he's driving everything else in this thing. hillary and the democrats have to counter. >> john is right about the numbers. more people seem to be engaged
on the republican side than the democrat side. >> one other thing, trump has made it pretty clear. no candidate has the right to bore voters to death with his campaign. i mean, i'm listening to paul ryan clucking about all this and his agenda. you have the accomplishment so screwed up, they think they are supposed to be the speaker is going to set the agenda for america in a presidential election year. what are they drinking? >> that's over. that clucking will lead to an egg. what the republican establishment ought to look forward to is donald trump will do to hillary clinton what he's done to the field. that's the only way to knock down the inevitability of hillary clinton. it's been ugly going after rubio and cruz and poor old jeb. i'm looking forward to him taking a whack at hillary in the way he's done so far.
>> i saw jeb bush at one of guys tweeted out on the christie deal because the establishment is going nuts. they had a big fat meal over that ha ha. these guys are losing their minds. it's crazy. >> turns out this is a matter of iq cause and effect. trump's smarter than the lot. >> i'm totally redefined american politics. i think many the political future, everyone will try to figure this out. you have an angry electorate that started many years ago. ross perot started part of it. the tea party started part of it and at the end of the day donald trump will finish it. >> business for politics when you're not the smartest fella in the room, you're in trouble. it ain't a fair fight. thank you. >> stay with fox business. we have a lot more coming up as we begin our election cover an led by none other than neil
cavuto. stay with us. welcome, everybody, and now it is the democrats' turn. weren't we just doing this last week at this time in south carolina? the primary for republicans. that was the one that was just the plurality of the vote suddenly you saw donald trump win all that state's 50 delegates. 59 delegates at stake in this democratic matchup between hillary clinton and bernie sanders. 53 conventional delegates, vix the so-called superdelegates. we have a lot to get into there all of this previewing what will be the big battle for republicans and
