((kirsten joyce)) little evelyn green was crossing the street in front of her house.. when she was hit. her family said the driver stopped, apologized, then took off before police arrived.. 8 news now exclusively spoke with evelyn's father last night... after he spoke with investigators: ((josh green/father: "they had a lead, they found the dude and that they have the vehicle that they are putting the search warrant in right now so they can go pick up the vehicle but they have the dude right now...the dude said he's seen the news and

((patrick walker)) the taxicab authority's troubled past. seemingly on trial tuesday in front of a legislative subcommittee that's deciding its fate. a january state audit said the authority needed to adhere to its statuatory roles... correct its fee structure... and adjust or eliminate the credit card fee. the report concluded the changes would save customers nearly 50- million dollars per year. cab drivers at the meeting say it's time to do away with the taxicab authority. ((carlos bracamontes/cab driver: "we wouldn't miss them if they became the nta.")) ((phillip rodman/cab driver: "i'm tired of this, i'm tired of barely paying my bills so they can make record profits, thank you.")) ((patrick walker)) but cab owners say the authority is operating just fine. and an attorney reviewing the audit on behalf of the authorty says he takes issue with the state's audit. important, allison? allison > a lot of hustle and bustle in the media filing center at the expo in manchester nh. journalists from all over the world watching these results from nh. why nh though? i asked a pollster who said that new hampshire is better than any other at state at choosing someone who's going to go on and do very well. even if they don't become the actual nominee for their party they're going to do well in the election if they do well in nh. he said it's very different from the iowa caucuses because the iowa caucus- goers are much different voters. so new hampshire is really something a lot of journalists focus on. panzer is my ninth therapy dog.. each one of my dogs has been a little different... ((kirsten joyce)) becky gang has been walking the halls of nathen adelson hospice... with a variety of furry companions... as a pet therapist. she's done this once a week, for more than ten years... becky gang/ acts of kindness recipient "if we touch one person the day we come. we've done our job. ((kirsten joyce)) pet therapy is a very unique volunteer service, as these loving animals provide different measure of comfort for everyone. many times its panzer... who will lead becky... into a room. becky gang/ acts of kindness recipient "he's the most in tune with patients that are very ill. the ones that are maybe non- communicative, he will pull me into a room and just go sit by the bedside with the patient.. i just stand there and let him do his thing .' " i do spend an awful lot of time with family members.... they're here from out of time.. missing their dogs.... i spent a lot of time with staff, because its a stressful
