((mauricio marin)) it's another busy night on the las vegas strip/ with more than 42-million visitors last year alone---there's always plenty of cars on the road with people looking to have a good time. they traveled 3 1/2 hours north to cedar city to meet the thunderbirds. it's amazing the rebs first played southern utah back in 1958 and the last time they played in utah was in 2013.. dave rice and his rebs ran away with a 73-51 win., so they meet again... this time at the spectrum in front of 42-hundred fans. that might be the smallest crowd unlv plays in front of this season. rebels keeping their lead in the first half... shooting 61 percent from the field. they hit six three's in the game... and were 3-8 in the first half. the only thing keepi was so. utah hit 11 three pointers in the game. rebs biggest lead in the game came in the first half... they led by 11.... the freshman troy baxter junior flushes two of his 11. six rebels scored in double digits... led by dwayne morgan's 19 points to go with his 14 rebounds. he was a monster nice team effort, they were sharing the ball, 16 assists leading to some big baskets.... the visiting rebs led 40-34 at the half. southern utah never managed the lead... unlv hit big shots when they needed em... t-birds didn't. late in the game unlv led by
tonight... menzies got 27 points from his bench. good to see the team share and shoot the ball with confidence... rebels improve to 5-2 on the season with tonight's 89-81 win.
