a shooting near downtown las vegas leaves one person dead. the getaway vehicle police are now looking for. ((demetria obilor)) >> police received reports of gunshots on 10-th street, near bonanza. when police got to the scene.. they found a man in his late 40's with a gunshot wound to the chest. he was transported to umc where he later died.
in a '95 or '99 jeep cherokee. police believe the shooting was targeted.. this is the 157th homicide in metro's jurisdiction. /// ((sherry swensk)) parts of the southeast are assessing the damage... after more than a dozen tornadoes touched down in alabama, louisiana, mississippi, and tennessee. the outbreak caused at least five deaths... roxana saberi has the latest on the severe weather. search and rescue teams fanned out across parts of the southeast into the night...
