this morning, san francisco polt puzzling and committed in full public view. this morning, san francisco police continue their search for a gunman behind a deadly shooting in a mcdonald's parking lot. a mysterious circumstances behind the death of a san jose woman found in hayward after she vanished for a week. when police finally plan to break the silence surrounding her death. shootings in michigan. now new information about the uber driver behind that spree who proceeded to pick up passengers during the madness. >> it it will be a beautiful day ahead. we are cool as you start out and head out the door. we do have some lower 40s in the north bay, also in the upper 40s in san francisco. warming up into the upper 60s to lower 70s. yes, it will be a beautiful, comfortable day with a lot of sunshine. we'll take a look at the forecast. what you can expect for the rest of the week coming up. but mike has something new for tri-valley drivers. >> good news for 580. looking at 580 westbound the cones are gone and folks are using the new express lane right now because it's not a pay to play situation. at 5:00, pay to use that expanded lane and we'll see how that plays out over the first couple of hours. let's look at your map and so far we don't have any slowing, not even out of the altamont and no major incidents, guys. back to you. a brazen shooting in san francisco, a man shot to death in the middle of the day right across the street from the san francisco police station. >> it happened at the mcdonald's
on golden gate avenue and fill more street. bob redell is live there with what we know so far about the suspect. >> the description from police is vague that the young man in dark clothing but what makes this crime so unnerving is one of the factors is the location as you are alluding to. the northern district station and right there in that parking lot at the mcdonald's is where this shooting took place. this happened around 2:45 yesterday afternoon and very busy area when the driver and the passenger in a white dodge sedan were trying to exit the parking lot on to fill more but traffic was backed up. they were essentially stuck in that parking lot sitting ducks according to police. the suspect looked inside and then fired several shots. >> and i heard pound, pound, pound, pound. i looked back and i just ran and i just dove out of the way.
>> the passenger, the victim in that white sedan was hit many times. he manage to crawl out of the car and was pronounced dead later at the hospital. the driver was not hurt. he is cooperating with police. the shooter escaped out of the parking lot and drove off. police say they're not sure if this was random or the victim was targeted and we're showing you one of the security cameras here the san francisco police station and it it is pointed in the direction of where the shooting took place. you can see it pivotal, was it pointing in that direction yesterday. police will look to that security camera and other security cameras to see if anything was captured. reporting live here in san francisco, bob redelll "today in the bay." the search has come to an end for a south bay mother missing for a week. police found the body of stacey aguilar. they found her body in hayward on saturday. they are calling it a homicide.
aguilar from san hozajose was l seen leaving a friend's party eight days ago. >> the homicide occurred here in hayward. >> witnesses say aguilar left the party with her boyfriend. police questioned the boyfriend and let him go. her stepfather said someone had been using stacey's credit cards since she disappeared. police will hold a news conference later today to reveal more about the investigation. a very scary moment for people who live in an apartment complex on the peninsula. a truck drove right through a wall. police say a man accidentally backed his ford f-150 truck into the wall of this unit. it it happened at a complex in belmo belmont. the man told officers that his foot got stuck on the gas pedal. no one was home at the time, thankfully. the driver of that truck was also not injured. starting our workweek and
want to know the forecast and let's check in with kari. >> it it is cool. check out these temperatures now in napa. 36 degrees but we do have some 40s else where and mostly clear skies. today we're into the low 70s. beautiful out there. i think these temperatures are just perfect into the upper 60s in san francisco, 68 degrees in the financial district and low 70s everywhere else except livermore. we're up to 68 degrees, as well. we continue to see these temperatures as we go through the week and not a lot of rain. i'll talk about that in a few minutes. let's see how the roads are moving now with mike. >> show you the bay and no problems, as you would imagine here right now. westbound 580 where you see a tiny bit of slowing over the last couple minutes develop. that commute direction open for that express lane, as well. we're looking over towards the bay bridge with no deit lays and our live shot shows us and from east to west. there is hayward over towards the high rise and foster city peninsula. back to you. >> thank you very much, mike.

==laura/== an uber iver accused in a twisted soti rampage in western michigan - io rnlsh developing story this monday morning. an uber driver in western michigan is scheduled to make his first court appearance today. 45-year-old jason dalton on murder charges. he is accused of shooting eight people in three separate locations over seven hours on saturday. six victims died. not oonly drove for uber but believed to pick up one fare during the shootings. one man is talking about the brush he claims to have had with dalton before authorities swooped in. >> i kind of jokingly said to the driver, you know, you're not the shooter, are you? and he gave me some sort of a no response. >> police say dalton did not have any prior criminal record. investigators still have not
determined a motive and they say the victims at each location had no connection to the suspect or each other. 4:39 now. an investigative unit exclusive. you've seen the headlines again and again. gun violence in oakland which remains among one of the most violent inner cities in america. >> this violence is creating a mental health crisis. stephen stock is here to explain. >> well, good morning, guys. you know, we spoke extensively with both health experts and survivors of gun violence. every one of them tells us that this level of violence has created mental trauma among residents living with this violence nearly every day. experts compare it it to veterans returning home from war, except in one important aspect. it is very different. we spent the last six months walking the streets of oakland and talking to victims and perpetrators of the gun violence there. mental health experts say they're now seeing evidence of post-traumatic stress among residents living in these

let's take a live look outside. little bit of fog as we take a look at san bruno mountain. we may have patches of fog within the next couple of hours but other than that, we'll have sunshine all throughout the day and looking at temperatures that will continue to warm up over the next few days as the seven-day forecast comes up at the bottom of the screen. you'll see how warm it gets this week, but cool to start this morning. in san francisco, it's 49 degrees and getting a close look at the east bay and dublin, it's 41 deit grees. livermore 42 degrees and brentwood at 42 degrees. low 40s out there in a few spots and into the day in san francisco, after a cloudy start, we see the sun quickly breaking out by 8:00. into the upper 50s by 10:00 this morning. and into the day. we make it it into the low to mid-60s, even some upper 60s in a few spots. we will have a warming trend beginning as we have mostly clear skies and high pressure continuing to build across the
region just farther off to the east of us. it's also fighting back any cold fronts that will be moving in. we will have several fronts moving close to the coast, but they just kind of fizzle out and the rain dries up before it gets here. there will be at least three or four this week, but not a chance of rain anywhere across the bay area. and our temperatures will be going up. so, we're looking at highs today and the next couple of daze mid to upper 70s in the south bay and even close 25080 to 80s deg and near record highs again. not this warm for the end of february into the mid-70s else where, as well. heading into the weekend, no major changes, except those temperatures start to come down a bit and we will have a chance of orarain possible on sunday a as for now the only chance of rain in the next seven days. now, let's get a look at what's happening on the bay bridge for mike. >> westbound with those

and visa plans to test out this spring. sam and laura, back over to you. >> not just what is in your wallet, what is in your car. thank you very much, landon dowdy. 4:49. the wife of comedian bill cosby scheduled to proceed a legal deposition under oath. this in a civil suit filed against her husband. cosby is accused of defamation by a group of women who claimed he sexually assaulted them decades ago. they lost their bid to postpone that deposition from camille cosby. for years she worked as cosby's business manager. while private conversations between a husband and wife are protected by law, business conversations are not. >> this is now a, no way now to predict what she does have to answer and what she doesn't because everything that she is going to talk about is both marital and business. >> cosby is scheduled to provide her deposition in a
massachusetts hotel room. it is believed to be her first deposition since sexual misconduct allegations against her husband became public knowledge. 4:49. $30 million for public access to a public beach in san mateo county. he is reportedly asking the state for in exchange for access to martin's beach at halfmoon bay. state leaders negotiating to purchase a public right away. kohlsa bought the beach back in 2008 and that court battle is still going on. happening right now. cleanup is under way following the devastation caused by tropical cyclone winston which flattened and flooded remote velages in fiji over the weekend. 18 people is now the death toll. these are pictures from the sky. experts are calling tropical cyclone winston one of the most

win in south carolina, confidence running high for the donald. but for the republican candidate that often demands the spotlight. now, last night he found himself actually left in the dark. >> because to put them in our jails, they didn't pay the electric bill. i like that much better. oh, that's so much better. those lights were brutal. do they come from the dishonest press? >> throw a shot at the media there, too. at a rally in atlanta the lights went out in the middle of trump's speech. it it didn't shake him. trump's confidence after his win in south carolina came through in his speech to a crowd of more than 5,000 people. >> we don't win anywhere, but we're going to win, oh, are we going to win. you're going to get so tired of winning.
