the suspects have robbed a total wine and spirits. "we do have information that in california, arizona and las vegas that similar incidents that happened here on sunday morning have occurred at other total wine businesses." total wine and spirits is still calculating the damages and has yet to release a dollar amount. they are offering a thousand dollar reward for information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects. if you have any information you can call secret witness. governor sandoval is asking federal environmental officials for more time before placing a portion of a former lyon county copper mine on a priority list for clean up. the environmental protection agency wants to put a portion of the anaconda mine site near yerington on its national priority list. the controversy concerns the 260 acres of the sprawling site last worked by a company which has since gone bankrupt.
ponds are expected to fill with sediment in the next few years. the cost of containing the source of the liquid is estimated at 31-million dollars. if the site is put on the priority list the federal government would pay 90 percent of the cost. but the mason valley community fears the potential stigma of the listing and the governor is asking the e-p-a to hold off for a few months to allow exploring other funding sources. nearby residents have long feared the site's threat to the ground water. the administration says, however, in the short run the site is safe and stable. polls open in just hours, for our country's first primary in the presidential race. and today, candidates are making their last dash around new hampshire to get the vote. marci gonzalez is in manchester. the final fight? hillary clinton, d-presidential candidate: "vote for me tomorrow!!! to win over- new hampshire voters?
