woo supporters ahead of the vote. good morning i'm maria silva. i'm dave hall. now it's time to get a first look at your fox5 weather 24-7 forcast... meteorologist cassandra jones joins us now. good morning i'm cassandra jones with fox5. it will be a slick morning commute with strong winds & much colder temperatures today along with additional mountain snow. we continue under a wind advisory until 6 pm tonight for gusts 45-55 mph possible. the rain should taper off throughout the late morning early afternoon with a high of just 49 degrees. daytime highs are forecast to stay in the 40's through tuesday which means overnight temperatures will be near freezing. by wednesday the daytime temps return to the lower 50's as a ridge builds in for the rest of the week putting us back in the upper 50's to low 60's friday through the weekend. here's your fox5

"justice for keith, no racist police justice for keith" mily and friends of 23-year-old keith childress junior stood on the strip asking the metro police department for a transparent investigation into his death. he was wanted by for skipping sentencing in a home invasion in arizona. but police say u-s marshals originally told them he was wanted for attempted murder. body cam footage shows an officer commanding him to get on the ground several times. police say childress had his hand in his pocket... and officers thought it was a gun.

"these police officers are out on vacation. paid vacation. why arent they being prosecuted for murder? they murdered my child." saturday. police say a tip to them lead to the arrest, only 400 miles from where they broke out of jail -- in santa ana. they say someone saw the men and the white van, linked to the prisoners parked in front of a whole foods grocery store. police say they also found ammunition inside the vehicle. a third escapee -- turned himself in on frid the orange county sheriff's department says she admitted giving the inmates maps and overhead photos of the area around the jail. the n-h-l is still dragging their feet on whether or not a team is coming to las vegas. expansion was barely addressed at the n-h-l board of governors meeting, saturday morning. but n-h-l commissioner gary bettman has said only las vegas and quebec city are in the running to land an expansion team booting out seattle. bettman says a ten-owner executive committee will eventually suggest if the how many teams the league should add- if any. and there doesn't seem to be a rush. bettman says -- "a lot of things have to be considered.

valley is the possibility of the raiders moving to las vegas. raiders owner mark davis visited las vegas on friday for a meeting with sheldon adelson -- the c-e-o of the las vegas sands corporation. adelson hopes to build a domed stadium to house u-n-l-v football. davis went out to visit the 42-acre site where the building would stand. the sands corporation wants much of the stadium funding to come from the public. the review journal is reporting developers would look for 780- million dollars in public financing. the sands will present a proposal to southern nevada tourism infrastructure committee... asking for hotel room taxes that go to l-v-c-v-a to be diverted to the project. las vegas headliners and talented students came together to compete for their own show on the strip!
