gas continue to drop here in the valley. several gas stations saw prices under two dollars per gallon. "las vegas gas buddy" shows the lowest is a dollar and 89 cents at the smiths -- near centennial parkway and goldfield street. most stations are still over the two dollar mark. we stopped by this arco where it was a dollar 99 for gas. drivers were pumped about the low prices.

pavement before super bowl sunday to squeeze in some exercise. the "big game ten k" running festival happening in downtown las vegas. race participants sported the color of their favorite team in the super bowl. runners came from five countries and fourteen states! fox five's anchors john huck and christine maddela were there... along with chief meteorologist ted pretty. this year's winner of the five-k and ten-k was j-j- santana. for the women -- erica shramm won the five-k... and laura chappel won the ten-k. runners say they wanted to start the day on a good note. "i do like getting up on super bowl morning and running then enjoying the day feeling good..." "... i want to be able to eat later." the event benefits the charity "goodie two shoes" -- founded by a former san diego chargers player. it gives disadvantaged kids new shoes and socks... and other basic needs. and some of the

calories to eat more during the big game. one of those super bowl staples -- chicken wings! the "national chicken council" estimates one- point-three billion chicken wings will be scarfed down over the weekend. that's enough to put more than 600 on every seat in all 32 n-f-l stadiums. today is the second biggest eating day of the year. and some football fans were chowing down on edible gold pizza. pizza hut gave away gold pies for super bowl fifty's milestone anniversary. it is the traditional gift to mark fifty years. dozens of random customers who order the stuffed garlic knots pizza today got a pizza topped with real gold. the special- edition pie has nearly 100 dollars worth of edible 24-karat gold. it also comes in a specially-designed gold box... and 100 dollar pizza hut gold card. not everyone was watching the biggest game of the year. some were cheering on three

"lounge in field isn't stepping it up. buddy we talked about this no more lounging." it's the "puppy bowl" on animal planet. ginger... toby... and magic took to the turf in new york for their big game. it brings together hundreds of adoptable dogs from animal shelters across the country. nevada s-p-c-a hosted a t-v viewing party to support the puppies. last year's participant "keno" also stopped by. on." all three pups from las vegas are availabe for adoption. and dozens of doggies and their owners enjoyed a tail-gating party in downtown las vegas. "the hydrant club" hosted a special day at container park. some pups rocked their cheerleading outfits to support their favorite team. there were also several dog adoption centers and rescue agencies to show off some adoptable pets.
