right now. with emmy award winner john huck. christine maddela. and weather 24/7 with chief meteoroligist ted pretty. this is fox5 news at 5:30. local las vegas. metro is asking for help finding the two men responsible for a seriesof break-ins at small restaurants and fast food places valley. they have hit 75 in las vegas, north las vegas and even henderson. fox5's les krifaton joins us live outside one of the businesses that was hit late last year on charleston near rainbow. police say someone out there knows who the suspects are and there is a reward for their information. in the case of this restaurant they didn't get any money but did leave plenty of physical and emotional damage behind. this is the security camera video from frijoles and

facebook with tongue and cheek commentary of how the 2 burglars were looking for some food they could eat. unfortunately for them they didn't find any food or money. unfortunately for thye owner of this restaurant they left behind 3 to 4 thousand dollars in damage. imagine if you will 74 other small businesses like this one have been hit by this pair. so far they haven't encountered anybody inside the places that they have broken into and police hope they won't between now and the time they catch these guys we don't want to see this escalate we don't want to see become victims and we don't want this to escalate to any crimes of violence according to the restaurant owner his video has been million times since facebook. these guys are pretty brazen because we are west charleston and the door they smashed with a

asking for a court-appointed attorney. he was arrested last night when he arrived in portland from las vegas to visit sons ammon and ryan bundy. "i saw a tall guy with a cowboy hat talking on his phone about burns oregon when he was on the terminal coming on the plane. i thought maybe it's an attorney or something. i just put it togther it was cliven bundy." that witness says a team of swat officers greeted bundy as he stepped off the plane in portland. hours later... the stadoff at the wildlife refuge came to an end - as the last holdout surrundered. "i am with you in spirit, god is with you in spirit and we are walking out, we don't need our weapons right now. they cannot fire on you with the world watching." that's nevada assemblywoman michele fiore - who arrived at the same airport - wednesday. she spent the day on a live internet stream... trying to encourage the last remaining militia members to give up to authorities... which they eventually did. the bundy family here in southern nevada has been watching today's

the number of cases of people infected with the zika virus is increasing in the u.s. and around the world. as steve nannes reports - members of congress are

president obama's request for additional funding to fight the virus. there are growing concerns as the zika epidemic continues to spread around the world. (thomas r. frieden, m.d., director, centers for disease control and prevention) this is a really unprecedented phenomenon. with each passing day, the evidence that zika is causally related to microcephaly gets stronger. on thursday, the heads of the centers for disease control and prevention and the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases testified on capitol hill -- where congress is considering president obama's one-point-eight billion dollar request for emergency funds to fight the disease. (sen. thad cochran, (r) mississippi) is this enough? (thomas r. frieden, m.d., director, centers for disease control and prevention) we think that will cover the next one to two years but there's a lot that we don't know. saying they are most concerned about the residents in more tropical parts of the u.s., like puerto rico and the u.s. virgin islands -- (thomas r. frieden, m.d., director, centers for disease control and prevention) we may well see tens or hundreds of thousands of zika infections in puerto rico. directors frieden and fauci said researchers are already working on a vaccine.
