reminder of similar bad crashes in the past... where metro officers have rushed to be at the side of an injured colleague. metro police have not lost an officer in a crash since 2009. that year, they lost three officers within a period. also that year, a driver was arrested for driving impaired after she hit a motorcycle officer at sahara and buffalo... leaving him in serious condition. witnesses said dana saunders' jeep rear ended that officer... and check out this video-- this was from wednesday of this week near eastern and warm springs... a driver hit the back of a metro patrol car before crashing into a pole in front of a gas pump. the officer was

looking for fresh faces and needs your help. the company plans to hire 10- thousand new employees for both full and part-time positions. it will hold about 6-hundred hiring events across the country to fill those spots.. and plans to open more stores soon. u-p-s is planning to hire 95- thousand workers in preparation for the upcoming holiday shopping season. the number is up from last year when u-p-s gave 93-thousand people temporary jobs during its a spokesman for u-p-s said they are looking for package handlers and delivery drivers. chipotle is also making big staffing moves.. the company plans to hire thousands of new workers later this month. as part of it's second annual "national career day" -- chipotle says it will offer 5- thousand jobs to folks around the country. the company is hosting a one day

rooftop customers could learn today if the public utilities commission will restore their old rates. the p-u-c is expected to vote on a deal that would bring back older rates to around 32- thousand customers. its part of a settlement between n-v energy, solarcity, the state bureau of consumer protection and the commission's staff. if approved... customers who signed up before a rate hike took effect this year would be "grandfathered" into lower rates for the next 20 years. in more local news.. a local boys and girls club gets a massive make over. and a big part of it is because of las vegas's very own "property brothers"...who also happen to be 2 of the biggest stars on h-g-t-v.

stadium plan to bring the raiders to las vegas was unanimously approved. the city's tourism and infrastructure committee is on board. now we just need to get state lawmakers up to speed. the stadium would cost almost 2-billion dollars to build. 650-million of that would come from the sands corporation and adelson family.. and the raiders will kick in 500- million.. while the rest of the money would come from a hotel room tax that the state would still need to approve.
