police clash in north carolina.. after a deadly officer involved shooting of a black man. 12 officers injured there as a result and this morning we're hearing more from police-- and the family of the man. we want to go live there.. (in just a moment/listen in) here's what happened: police were looking to serve a suspect with an outstanding warrant in charlotte on tuesday. that's when the officers saw 43- year-old keith lamont scott -- who was not that suspect -- sitting inside a car. authorities say scott got out of

saw as a threat... before they shot him. but...scott's family says he was actually disabled, unarmed and just reading a book in his car. hundreds of people protested the shooting overnight... forcing the closure of highway 85. the city of charlotte addressed the shooting and subsequent protests a short time ago... "we want to resolve this peacefully...who care about that positive outcome." multiple officers and at least one protester were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. the demonstrations in charlotte began on the heels of another protest going on in tulsa, oklahoma...followi ng the deadly

airman killed while trying to disarm an explosive device in afghanistan.. he was just 23 at the time.. but his legacy lives on... and so will his name at nellis air force ba fox5's peter dawson is live at the base with more. buras, an explosive ordnance disposal technician assigned to the 99th civil engineer squadron here, enlisted in the air force in april 2006, and after completing basic military training at lackland afb, texas, he graduated naval eod technical training in march 2007 at eglin afb,

and only, duty station at nellis afb where he immediately began his journeyman skill-level upgrade. no stranger to afghanistan, he deployed three times in his short career, twice to bagram airfield where he was assigned to the 755th air expeditionary squadron, explosive ordnance disposal flight, operating location alpha. during his second deployment in may 2009, he received the purple heart for injuries sustained during an ied explosion on his armored vehicle.
