let's get to rico bush with more on the election results. rico - katie, don, ted cruz's victory in the iowa caucuses means he'll pick up eight delegates for the gop party nomination. donald trump and marco rubio each get seven. last night's g-o-p caucuses show us this race is far from over. several candidates have gained momentum while others are starting to fade from the race. with nearly all votes in from the gop caucuses, cruz is ahead of trump 28 percent to 24 percent, but this morning biggest narrative is marco rubio, who had a stronger-than- expected showing and sits at 23 percent in iowa. so, how did cruz do it? entrance polls showed religious voters, who made up two-thirds of caucus goers, favored cruz over trump and rubio. of those who stated values mattered the most, cruz also bested trump and rubio by a small margin. after declaring victory last night, cruz said in his speech his win shows the power of his supporters against

police have not said anything about charges. the father of a missing virginia teen, found murdered, wants answers. david lovell went to the courthouse yesterday as two virginia tech students faced a judge in connection to his daughter, nicole's, death. police charged david eisenhauer with murder and abudction after they found the missing teen's body this past weekend. they also charged natalie keepers with improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact. both are being held without bond. lovell just wants answers. 10.38.12 david lovell/nicole's father "these two individuals took my daughter from this planet and i want to know why and i want all the information i can get." warrants for the two virginia tech students showed no firearms were used in lovell's death. these are the details her father says will be hard to hear. this morning a father from richmond is talking about his missing two-year-old. this after police arrested the girl's step-mother in new york. cornelius simmons last saw his daughter, ariellisa, more than two months ago. both

wife, andrea watkins-simmons were reported missing in november. yesterday officers arrested watkins- simmons on abduction charges. ariellisa was nowhere to be found. (cornelius simmons/ father) "the only thing that really loved me was my daughter. i loved her ." last month police in richmond found human remains in a vacant apartment. simmon's says it's a familar address and believes it's his daughter. new this morning, upsetting video allegedly showing a daycare director hitting and dropping a child on a mat. we want to warn you it might be hard to watch police in florida just released new cell phone video. investigators say it shows the head of a daycare center striking a four-year- old boy several times with what appears to be a stuffed animal. the video then shows her holding the child about three feet in the air before dropping him face down on

company held a fiesta on friday. apparently the intruder found the leftovers, treated himself to a snack, then took a nap. (phil laboon/eyeflow internet marketing) "so the fridge was filled out and there's trails of pizza leading to the back room. he was sleeping like a baby on a pile of pillows." police charged 26-year-old cory mcginnis with burglary. you might recongize his name, that's because he is a former professional baseball player. adele isn't endorsing donald trump when it comes to her music. the singer told him and all other presidential candidates, her songs are off-limits. adele's mandate came after trump took the stage in iowa sunday with the song,"we could have had it all" in the background.

breaking news out of iowa from last night's caucus. after a very close race, nbc news declared hillary clinton the apparent winner in last night's race among democrats. on the republican side,

let's get right to 10 on your side's rico bush details. rico. don, katie, hillary clinton has squeaked out against senator bernie sanders based off final numbers from the iowa democratic party. overnight, the results of the caucuses were so close both candidates were locked in a dead heat. the party described the democratic front-runner and sanders as the closest they have ever had in the state. several of the races were decided by coin tosses! this is where the numbers stand right now. a razor thin win for the former secretary of state against sanders. let's crunch some numbers for you to give you idea of why this race is so side, voters who wanted experience and wanted the next president to continue obama policies largely went for clinton. clinton also did especially well with people over 65, married women and moderates. looking at sanders, younger voters and people who valued honesty and trustworthiness most in a

we're following breaking news out of virginia beach. paramedics are treating two people for smoke inhalation after a house fire. crews put out that fire

bridge road. investigators say they contained the flames to the garage. everyone was out of the house by the time they arrived. they have not said what started the fire. we have a photojournalist video and more stay with us. a 9-year-old boy died and a 7-year-old is fighting for his life after a car crash in norfolk. police say the two young boys were thrown from a minivan around 5 last night. according to police - a pick-up truck was traveling on llewellyn avenue when it hit the minivan in the intersection of west 27th street. that's in the park place neighborhood. witnesses ran to the scene to help. the young boys, and the mother behind the wheel went to the hospital. 10 on your side spoke with the surviving boy's sister. kasaera mcclenny - surviving boy's sister c71 19:38:38 "he's doing okay, he has bruised lungs and a slight concussion." 19:39:08 "sad because that could have been my brother." paramedics treated the pick-up truck driver and his only passenger at the scene for minor injuries. police say they are still investigating the

hundreds of people showed up to remember a family last night. friends, relatives and total strangers attended the service for the dooleys at deep creek baptist church in chesapeake, including law enforcement from all over the region. there were several tributes to todd dooley's 27 year career with the police department. patriot guards riders were also there to stand with the american flag before and during the ceremony. c3 18:52:19 - he did 27 years and it's not an easy life. 27 years as a law enforcement officer. so that's why we're here. to show our honor and respect for his life. :28 all six members of the family were found dead in two chesapeake homes last week. police tell us 26 year old cameron dooley shot his family and then killed himself. funeral plans have not been publicly announced. happening today, chesapeake residents can learn more about contaminated water in their community. the navy is holding a public meeting. 10 on your side first reported the issue near fentress a couple of
