now at noon a horrific accident two pedestrians hit in chinatown one trapped under an suv and dragged for miles. >> police say the driver went down 93 to dorchester where she the driver is under arrest and set to face charges. nicole jacobs is live at the good afternoon. >> reporter: good afternoon to you. the investigation led police to two different scenes separated by only a couple miles the same person police say responsible for both. in the early morning hours a call to police for a pedestrian hit in chinatown after 1:30. authorities investigating the scene with one man hurt nonlife- threatening they say. but a call only minutes later from dorchester another pedestrian hit and possiblydragged.
dragging someone and pulled over to the other side and i am like we have to call the cops. >> reporter: elizabeth amos called 911 and sought suv and driver oblivious to the circumstances. >> i called and didn't know what was going if it was a animal under the car and the cops came over but she was driving for miles. >> reporter: shreded and torn clothing scattered about the corner of massachusetts avenue and columbia road where it took minutes to release the 48-year- old woman from the undercarriage. >> especially like help me this voice and it's sad. her choaghts came off. >> reporter: cameras captured video of the rolling investigation off interstate 93 to the columbia road exit 15. dragged. boston police confirming 44- year-old woman is charged with

>> i am a little bit scarred up but i am still standing and i think that kind of experience campaign. >> reporter: and the threat of a winter storm could impact voter turnout tonight. iowa. and before the results come in from iowa some candidates will be racing up to new hampshire. the first of the nation primary tomorrow. one poll shows donald trump the clear front runer with 38% of the vote. the tight race for second between ted cruz jeb bush and marco rubio. to the democrats that same poll shows sanders is holding onto his lead with 57% of the vote. to hillary clinton's 37%. on wednesday all three democratic candidates will take part in the town hall meeting in derry new hampshire. on thursday they will face-off in another debate added at u and h in durham.

and in fact after midnight the skies clear out and we will be colder overnight than this morning. 20s and 30s for most of us. but a bright beautiful start tomorrow. high pressure fair weather building in. another great day. the wind comes in off the ocean and late in the the day and it will be a cooler feel overall near 50. so still above average just not like what we have today. and wednesday, the morning look drive looks like we slowed off the timing a bit. some steadier rainfall will afternoon. i think the steadiest rain comes in wednesday early afternoon through your evening commute and the front crosses thursday morning. so during the predawn there may be lingering showers and then that. that's when cooler air is going to work into the region. so in terms of projected rainfall on wednesday generally early estimate half an inch to 3/4 of an inch of of of rain.
looks like the wettest time this week. today you want wet weather greer. 33 in boston tonight. 20sin a lot of the suburbs so it will be cool compared to the mild temperatures we have this morning and look at this, tomorrow, 45 degrees. keep in mind should be in the mid-30s so we are running about 10, 15 above average coming to 49 in norwood tomorrow and 48 in taunton. 46 in lawrence. and there are signs we stay in the mild pattern for few more days and -- for a few more days and then get a shot of colder air. jet stream digs down into next week and it will be the heart of the cold air over the midwest. new england will be on the edge of that cold and that means with the jet stream coming up the east coast, it could be a stormy set up heading into the end of next week potentially into the end of february with the cold shots of air that will come down. but not necessarily last that long. accu-weather 7-day forecast back into the 50s on wednesday. the rain comes in and turn gradually cooler upper 30s to end the week.
