tonight - we are getting a closer look at that deadly shooting of a man in cheviot. the whole thing - caught on camera.9 on your side's tom mc- kee shows us that video - and what the city's top cop is saying tonight. the man was identified as paul gaston, whom police had been trying to locate for waving a gun in the air. he crashed his truck at harrison and boudniot, then walked a quarter-mile into cheviot where he was met by specialist scott mcmanis plus officers zachary sterbling and eric kohler. kohler. charges- after she went the wrong way on i-71, killing a man yesterday. 9-1-1 calls are giving police a beter idea of the events leading up to that crash. dispatchers received calls from drivers- saying they saw a driver- who police believe is 22-year old taryn chin- heading south on the northbound lanes- starting at montgomery road. somwhere- they say- she crossed over and drove north in the southbound lanes. that's where police say she hit jose arenas head on- killing him- in the construction zone between dana and taft. yes, i'm coming down, i drive a truck, i'm coming down 71 right past exit 11 going northbound and there's a car driving south in this direction on 71 northbound." northbound."i think we have that that probably about exit 10 now. chin made her first court appearance today. her bond was

a brown county woman is pretty banged up -- after trying to break up her fighting pitbulls! it happened at this home on new harmony salem road.the county's dog warden says the pits were fighting when the woman and her husband tried to break up the fight. and that's when one dog turned on them. the man being questioned in the death of a middletown mother is *not* facing charges in connection to her death. death.police were questioning a man described as a "person of interest" in the murder of brittany russell. last week- she was found shot to death in her car with her baby in the backseat.we just learned that man is only facing drug this point - he is no longer a person of interest in russell's death. the investigation is ongoing. more trouble tonight for former attorney stan chesley.a federal judge is ordering him to go to court next month to explain fraud accusations.the judge says it appears chesley wants to avoid paying former clients who sued him for

you're watching 9 on your side at 7! a man who pointed a fake gun at police calls it a misunderstanding. ing.christopher laugle was in court today-- accused of pointing what looked like a real gun directly at the face of a mount healthy officer tuesday night.officers were responding to a complaint of an assault at a home on adams road. police say they didn't realize the gun was a fake until after the arrest. laugle was arraigned on two thousand dollars bond for a menacing charge. a woman wanted since 1979 for shopligting.. finally faced a hamilton county judge. judge.rochelle cooper was charged in the late seventies with stealing three leather coats from the now-defunct

never showed up for her trial and a warrant was issued for her was never served until indiana authorities charged the now sixty year old woman with-you guessed it- shoplifting at a walmart.the orginal shoplifting charges were felonies, because of the value of the, they are misdeameanors, because of inflation.
