this second crash happened on the ohio side of the bridge here.the other was on the kentucky side. but we're only talking about the difference of a few hundred feet.police say in this case they have a pretty good idea of what caused it. we want to show you a look at that crash.the vehicles came to a stop just past the combs hehl bridge.police say a dodge caliber driver by cory lippmeier rear ended a pontiac grand am.the driver of the grand am was killed.police are not releasing their name at this point.as you can imagine from a crash where somebody gets rear-ended on the interstate.. police say they believe lippmeier was going too fast.they also say impairment had something to do with the crash.it happened in nearly the same spot where a 12-car wreck sent a car off the combs-hehl bridge and into the river.what led to that

katie stewart's friends say she was one of a kind.and this morning... they're grieving the loss of a kenton county woman who fell to her death at a nature sanctuary near lexington. lexington.friends... co- workers... and fellow transylvania students turned out for a fundraiser and memorial for katie stewart last night at the ice cream shop where she worked in lexington.police say she fell off a cliff at an overlook at raven run nature sanctuary on saturday. breaking overnight... people living in an apartment building on reading road in avondale are back in their homes after a fire forced everyone to evacuate. investigators say the fire started in a storage bin in the basement laundry room. damage was mostly smoke related.... and everyone was able to return to their homes. president obama is waking up

first warning forecast. it's a chilly start to our monday forecast with lows dipping a few degrees below freezing. i wouldn't be surprised to see patchy frost this morning. thankfully, temperatures are warming up a few more degrees today and we should top out around 500f. this is still cool for the 21st of march, but warmer air is returning soon. here's a look at today's temperature trend: an area of low pressure will be developing out in the plains states this week and we'll see a nice boost in temperatures ahead of it. winds pick up on tuesday from the southwest at 10 to 20, gusting to 30 mph. this is warm air building ahead of this next rain maker. while tuesday is breezy, temperatures will bounce back to the mid to low 60s with partly cloudy skies. warm air continues to surge into the tri-state on wednesday with a few more clouds expected. temperatures will be mild in the mid-60s. there will be a slight rain chance late in the day but right now it's only 20%. showers and storms will finally move in on thursday and our chance looks likely at this point. while the amount of rain still needs to be fine-tuned, it looks like we'll have a decent chance for rain throughout the day. highs top out at 630f before cooling back to the 50 degree mark on

we're on top of breaking news...a 15-year old has been arrested for making a bomb threat against severla tri- state schools.cincinnati police tell us tht student sent a facebook message... warning people not to attend dater... west hight... aiken and walnut hills because he was -quote- "going to be the next osama."hundreds of students and parents sent that threat to cincinnati police... and that student was arrested last night.he's currently being held in juvenile hall.we have a crew following up on this story... and we'll bring you new information in our next hour. an o-t-r building comes crumbling down --the owner of that building, norman miller, spoke only with 9 on your side. he says he was at home when a building inspector called him with news of the collapse on sunday. he says he's owned the place for 18 years and the last time he had a structural engineer check it was 10 years ago. he was planning on rennovating for a prospective tenant. now he says he'll have to do much more.he spoke only with 9 on

it just might be a painful case of de ja vu for two would-be robbers in northern kentucky.look at these surveillance pictures police in williamstown shared with us from a robbery attempt saturday night. you see the clerk standing behind the counter watching as two men with hoods over their heads try to get in the glass doors of the marathon gas station on highway 36. they can't get in...because the clerk apparently *locked* the door. it's similar to an attempted armed robbery a few weeks ago not far away. that other attempted robbery happened about 10 minutes away at another marathon station. this are surveillance pictures from that incident on february 25th.it's the same scenario-- the clerk locked out the would be armed robbers, so they ran away... empty-handed. drivers are starting to feel a little pain at the pump.the average price for a gallon regular gas has jumped 17 cents in the past 2 weeks $2.02.it's all because of
