first alert me to rogers dave cocchiarella is standing by. it should be a nice saturday out there for us. dave: we have a great weekend forecast for us. a few clouds, but otherwise, i do not see any real complaints out there right now. 59 degrees right now. it is very pleasant. a few clouds here and there. they are mostly high clouds just streaming by. 57 degrees in ocala. 56 degrees in daytona beach. we are looking at 59 degrees right now in the city beautiful. we are going to warm through the midmorning hours, and into the afternoon. probably the mid to upper 60' s before it is all over. if you after clouds in the forecast for today. that is really the only significant part of the forecast, other than a northwest win. a little breezy today.

hour wind. 68 degrees in kissimmee. most of us will be in the middle to upper 60' s, maybe a few in 70' s. cara: thank you, dave. right now, we' re asking daytona beach police how a country club parking lot became a crime scene. detectives were at the indigo shores country club parking lot well into the early morning hours. they had crime scene tape up and towed two cars. we' ve reached out to police to find out what' s going on. as soon as we hear back, we' ll update you here on wesh 2. right now, the family of a boy missing for nearly a month, is on the way to pick him up. three-year-old xander quigley was found safe and sound yesterday. investigators say, his mother took him with her, when she helped her boyfriend escape from a work camp in daytona beach. as you heard first on wesh 2, u.s. marshals caught up with them in kentucky, some 900 miles away.

today, a family will bury two brothers killed in a shooting. antonio and christian jones were on their way to a super bowl party together, but never made it. they were shot in the parking lot at the stoneridge reserve condo complex in metrowest. antonio jones was due to stand trial for importing and trafficking cocaine. less than 24-hours ago, orlando police released this picture of his brother, 16-year-old christian jones. their killer is still on the run. valentine' s day celebrations will not be happening at the orlando nightclub where eleven people were shot. last night, investigators returned to glitz ultra lounge. we' re told they were following up on the deadly shooting. just yesterday, police announced the arrest of jose lopez, who' s out on bond. police believe up to three gunmen may have been involved. the club' s owners told police there are no plans to reopen any , time soon. new from overnight. one person has died in a late-night crash outside a titusville bar. brevard county fire rescue says the person was killed outside , pinto' s lounge on u.s. one. we' re asking troopers for more information on the crash and will bring it to you, once we get it. new video shows the glowing tribute to two maryland deputies

last night, more than a hundred people gathered outside the panera bread, where they were shot. many of them are trying to come to terms with what happened on wednesday. >> it' s gonna take a while, and even then, it' s like when you get cut. it eventually turns into a scar, but the scar is still there. so, keep us in your prayers and thoughts. cara: the gunman, david evans, also died in a shootout. earlier this week, we learned he used to live in altamonte springs and had a local warrant out for his arrest. there are two new suspects in a string of multi million dollar jewelry heists across the south. the u.s. attorney' s office is charging larry and michael gilmore with conspiracy to interfere with commerce. prosecutors say the two provided , surveillance and security to -- security codes to the robbers. those suspects, abigail kemp and lewis jones, are accused of stealing jewelry from six stores

florida. turning to commitment 2016. we' re expecting to hear from patrick murphy about the allegations against his opponent in the race for senate. congressman alan grayson is under attack from one of his own party' s leaders. nevada senator harry reid is calling him unethical and telling grayson drop out. wesh 2' s political reporter greg fox explains. greg: the fiery local congressman who' s commanded media attention for statements like this, . -- like this. >> at this point, the tea party is no more popular than the klan. greg for months he' s come under : fire over revelations that he' s been managing three hedge funds, investment holdings worth millions,while also serving in congress which regulates securities. thursday, the new york times released emails, it says, prove

pope francis is preparing to meet some of the poorest people living in mexico. the head of the roman catholic church arrived in mexico city last night. he waved to crowds along the way. he also made an unscheduled appearance outside the vatican ambassador' s residence. this is pope francis' first trip to mexico as pontiff. commercial airlines will soon be able to fly between the u.s. and cuba. starting tuesday, they' ll be able to enter bids with the department of transportation. both countries are expected to sign a formal agreement to restore air service, soon. the construction mess on 17-92 in maitland and winter park is expected to last through tomorrow. f-dot is working to lower the road under the railroad crossing bridge, so crews have closed the southbound lanes. workers hope to finish the project by monday. if they don' t, crews will be back out next weekend. the time now is 6:10 on this saturday morning. it is going to be another lovely day. it may not be as warm as yesterday, but certainly not chilly.

cara: we are getting a firefighter i you of a fire in a daytona beach home. this is a helmet can view of a fire that occurred last week. that garage was destroyed. out safely before the fire started. two dogs inside died. the flames were so intense that they burned if you trees in the back, before firefighters could contain it. one woman' s home is now warmer. she told dispatchers that she could not see her home. the workers decided to get her a space heater. the hardware store ended up

managers heard the circumstances. from one act of kindness to another. in volusia county, homeless were given free haircuts. staffers from international academy in south daytona volunteered all day yesterday. and academy barber instructor brought students to the homeless coalition, and gave them a fresh, new cut. one local theme park is hiking wages instead of ticket prices. seaworld says that starting in july, their minimum wage will go up the descent to $10 an hour. the wage hike will affect over 100 positions. that includes existing jobs and new hires. new this morning, the legendary patti labelle is coming to orlando. the grammy-award winning singer is making a stop at epcot to celebrate black history month. she will also be signing her latest cookbook, filled with southern recipes. no word on whether she' ll have any of those famous sweet potato pies during her visit next saturday. just one week later, one of the

saturday. dave: i want to take you to what is happening on the coastline. are up right now. the northern part of rivard county. the sun is trying to get up right now. we are looking at a beautiful morning, with temperatures in the 50' s. eventually, we' s. 80 -- a nice you today. we have a funnel boundary working its way down to the and slow right now. behind that front, we will have some northwest winds. they will be a bit on the breezy side, holding our temperatures down. so, compared to the 70' s from yesterday, we are looking at the 60' s today. 68 is essentially what we are looking for in a high temperature. we will talk about what you can expect for the rest of the weekend in your seven-day forecast, coming up.

new from overnight. a country club parking lot blocked off by crime scene tape. detectives were at the indigo shores country club parking lot in daytona beach well into the early morning hours. we were there as police towed two cars. we' ve reached out to police to s going on. as soon as we hear back, we' ll update you here on wesh 2. six days after the deadly shooting at glitz ultra lounge, the doors will stay locked. last night, orlando police returned to the club, just hours after announcing an arrest. sources tell wesh 2, they were doing a follow-up. but as chris hush explains, there are some new leads. chris: wesh 2 was the first to see crime scene investigators back at glitz nightclub, almost a week after a fatal shooting inside killed two people and injured 10 others. sources tell wesh 2, investigators are following up on the case, sweeping both inside the club and, as we saw, outside, near the back doors. >> obviously, guns were let in to the club. chris: just hours earlier on friday, orlando police chief

of jose lopez, who faces felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon into the club and tampering with evidence, after police say, he threw the gun on the roof of a shed. >> it' s unfortunate he was let out of jail. chris: police also confirm this altercation was between two groups of people. no one has been charged in the shooting deaths of jonathan rojas and joseph villalobos. chief mina has since scrutinized the club' s lack of security measures that may have prevented the shooting. >> either those measures had lapses, or the security staff was not properly trained. [knocking on door] chris: our repeated attempts to get in touch with the club' s owner -- [phone ringing] chris: have failed. >> you' re call has been forwarded to an automated voice system. chris: an advertisement on the nightclub' s website still promotes a valentine' s day party, set to take place this weekend. but police say, the owner told them he had no plans to reopen the club anytime soon. a call to the number listed on

level now. cara: natasha quigley is now charged with helping gary bullock junior escape. he is facing additional time behind bars. new this morning. a brevard county woman is cleaning up from the car that crashed into her home, and this isn' t the first time. you have to see these pictures of the car that ended up in the living room of the candlewick drive home in suntree. the car plowed through the living room and into the kitchen. it left a trail of splintered wood and shattered glass. the homeowner says just two , months ago, another car slammed through her sun room. other drivers have made it as far as the hedges. >> we need some concrete barriers out here. they need some kind of guardrail or something. there is nothing but grass and a few little bushes. nobody does 30 miles per hour on

cara: the homeowner was not there during this latest crash. amazingly, the driver walked away unhurt. also in brevard county, we' re working to find out the condition of a person rushed to the hospital during a fire. flames tore through a home in barefoot bay, on loquat street, yesterday afternoon. fire officials say the fire started in the kitchen and spread to the attic. 6:36 now. happening today, a group of cyclists will start their ride to tallahassee, all while remembering rosemary pate. the goal of the ride 4 rose is to raise awareness child-to-parent domestic violence. rosemary' s son, everette pate, is charged with killing her in ocoee back in 2013. riders will start pedaling from orlando at 7:00 a.m. turning to commitment 2016. republicans have just hours until they take the stage in south carolina. last night, donald trump was in tampa, hurling insults at former governor, jeb bush.

hot line set up. matt florida' s number of : confirmed zika cases continues a slow climb, state health -- a slow climb. state health officials say, 20 people have been infected by the virus in recent weeks. so far, all of florida' s cases are travel-related meaning patients were bitten by country. but with the growing number of cases comes growing concern, for locals and visitors to the sunshine state. that is why governor rick scott' s office says, it is opening the lines of communication for anyone with questions about zika through a new hotline. officials say the hotline will , help people protect themselves and their homes. governor rick scott says with , over 20 million residents and 100 million tourists, we have made it a priority to stay ahead of the possible spread of this virus in florida. we will continue to do all we can to keep our families safe. with a new link to birth defects and continued surge in cases in

if you know where he is, call 9-1-1. six days after the deadly shooting at glitz ultra lounge, the doors will stay locked. last night, orlando police returned to the club just hours after announcing an arrest. sources tell wesh 2 they were doing a follow-up. but as chris hush explains, there are some new leads. chris: wesh 2 was the first to see crime scene investigators back at glitz nightclub, almost a week after a fatal shooting inside killed 2 people and injured 10 others. sources tell wesh 2 investigators are following up on the case, sweeping both inside the club and, as we saw, outside near the back doors. chief john mina: obviously, guns were let in to the club. chris: just hours earlier on friday, orlando police chief john mina announced the arrest of jose lopez, who faces felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon into the club and tampering with evidence after police say he threw the gun on the roof of a shed.

the u.s. is preparing to start talks with south korea over installing a more sophisticated missile defense system. while north korea maintains the rocket launched a satellite into space, the u.n. believes it was a long-range missile test. there are now 20-diagnosed cases of zika here in florida, all of them diagnosed in people who traveled. take a look at this map of all the counties where cases of zika are now confirmed. the newest cases are in broward and alachua county. osceola county is the only one in central florida. as wesh 2' s matt lupoli explains, the state now has a hot line set up. matt: florida' s number of confirmed zika cases continues a slow climb. state health officials say 20 people have been infected by the virus in recent weeks. so far, all of florida' s cases are travel-related, meaning patients were bitten by infected mosquitoes outside of the country.
