breaking news this morning. one person dead in a fire overnight on cleveland's east side. and more trouble for johnny manziel. first, he is dropped by his agent and then named in a criminal investigation. now, we are learning that the browns have not been able to contact him for nearly a week. my receipt literally says that i was only in there for

the structure,retrieved the occupant. unfortunately, the occupant didn't make it out of the fire: we will continue to bring you more updates. johnny manziel is now part of a criminal investigation. dallas police are looking into the possibility of charges against the troubled quarterback after a domestic violence incident last weekend. that's one of many problems that manziel is facing. meg shot joins us now. >> this story with johnny manziel is change by the minute. now, the ex-girlfriend, theresa crowley is working with the police department into domestic violence. crowley told police that manziel hit and threatened to

originally, they closed the case, but reopened it after she released a statement. now there is a protective order against manziel. he cannot go within 500 feet of crowley or he will go to jail. jimmy haslam sayshe has not been able to get a hold of him. >> we would reach to him, like any other player. enough said on that. that's a personal issue, not hours >> reporter: this happened after johnny's agent dropped him as a client and his dad telling a dallas newspaper that johnny refused to go to rehab twice earlier this week. >> meg, thank you. so much questions with his future in the browns organization and even the nfl. a mother in trouble after leaving her children in her car while she went shopping. this is a story you will only see here.

democracy 2016 coverage. ohio governor kasich says he is still in it to win it and has no interest in becoming a vice president. >> would you ever accept a vice- presidential nod from somebody. >> no. no. that's kind of crazy. i would not even think about it. i'm running for president. >> kasich goes on to say, he, quote, would be the worst vice president that anybody could ever imagine because he can't take orders from other people. interesting to note that interview was held on the kasich campaign bus once used by ricky martin and lady ante antebellum. we are teaming up with politico fact. they check the accuracy of what

campaign trail and tv ads. governor kasich has been making a lot of appearances, one of them on fox news in which he talks about our state's economy. >> guess what, think about our ex. >> your credit rating. >> as high as it can get, aa rating. >> what about aaa? >> i don't think you can really get the aaa. >> kasich has been speaking about his time working on credit. we wondered if he was right about the credit rating. we dug deeper. just like you have a credit score, analysts rate states. there is, indeed, a aaa and there are 15 states that have it. ohio's rating is better than when he took office.

we are missing it. we are missing it. here we are under clouds and a few sunny breaks throughout your average. today will be a fantastic first week of february. compared to last winter, when we were sitting in the single digits and everybody was talking about that big polar vortex. not this year, folks. good morning. out towards lake county, geauga, currently into the lower 30s. what's happening is that we have a very weak cold front that is starting to slice towards the east just in the last hour or so, we were sitting at 30 degrees, so cool down about 5 degrees. taking a look at the power of 5, a few clouds floating through. that will be the case throughout the afternoon. i think by 3:00 p.m., 4:00, we'll be sitting under a good amount of sunshine.

winds again out of the south and that always allows for the gradual warmup, 5 to 10 miles per hour, sew so still on the warm side. a very unevent weekend. this is the next weather maker, clipper that will slide in late sunday all the way into monday this will be another equal opportunity for everyone to get an inch or two accumulation going into monday. just like i said about the primaries happening tuesday, the travel will be an issue going into monday evening. tuesday, the east coast will be getting that arctic air and that moisture will be in place. definitely tracking that storm

but someone's private camera hacked and being shown live on a russian website that i am not naming. how about medical procedure? there is an actual procedure in missouri where you can see the needle coming from a man's face. and this is maryland. i located lots of children, numerous daycare center with tiny children in michigan, school aged children laughing, playing in pennsylvania, even a precious young girl sleeping in her bed in georgia. no outside eye should be eagle there. crib cams, the very thing that parents buy to keep an eye on our children. i found a family on the cleave west side that posted a camera in their baby's room. you can see mom and dad changing their newborn, the diapers, the baby blankets, the little clothes.

so hurt that someone would live stream it for anybody to see on the internet, they asked us not to the show video. we are not. and despite their anger, frustration, their fears, the dad was courageous enough to talk to us. we'll call him john. >> it's like you leave your blinds open and a bunch of people are looking in. >> reporter: dad says that he is troubled to see that. >> the russian website says that they are showing that, because they are not change the basic password. should have been more diligent. >> if you were the parents of this child, what would you think? >> i would scare. i would find it violateive.

>> walk on the campus of ursuline college. the russian website is live streaming that feed. you can see me here on camera in blue. school reps are asking the website to take their camera down now. >> how easy to get into this system. >> can be very straightforward. >> ken smith is something called an ethical hacker with secure state, a cleveland company that touts itself as a global management consulting firm specializing in cyber security. this is your war room? >> yes. >> he took us into secure state war room where they are paid to break into sites and find holes. he told me that i.t. based cameras started filling commercial needs but now they are all over the place. every day, more and more are in our homes, capturing our life.

for this time of the year. we are dealing with a very week cold front. east. we have seen a drop just in the about 5 degrees. both will be warming back up-- look at this -- to the mid- to upper 30s as we head into the rest of the afternoon. if you are out and about tonight by 6:00, we are into nick? >> janessa, thank you. breaking overnights news report. one person is dead after a fire broke out on cleveland's east side. we spoke with a fire official who said that crews fought the fire for over three hours and investigators are now looking into the cause. we had to retrieve the occupant from inside the home and get him out. unfortunate licks due to the

transported and was our efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. and now a home on gore orphanage home caught on fire. fortunately, the okay pants were not inside. the state fire marshal's office was at the scene and the investigation continues. no cause has been determined as of yet but it is not considered suspicious. >> no information on the two little ones who had to be revield by the anti-overdose nalaxone. the two have been released and are in foster care. police are investigating their mother.

was a whole new ballgame. the day started out with news that johnny's agents are dropping him as a client. and now the dallas police department is reopening a domestic violence from last week involving his ex- girlfriend colleen crowley. crowley told police johnny hit and threatened to kill her. crowley is now cooperating unlike a week ago when she said she did not want to file a police report or answer any questions. a dallas tv station reported that a protective order was signed by a judge on friday, barring manziel for being two year. here is what jimmy haslam had to say. >> we worry about johnny manziel as a person. manziel, told a dallas

february and look at this. green grass towards wayne county. temperatures into the upper 20s this morning and the live 5 radar not picking up any moisture. i am just tracking clouds and that sun mix will go with partly to mostly cloudy conditions the right now, 25 degrees. our temps have cooled off in the last hour or so. we are dealing with a very weak cold front. has not hit out towards ashtabula county, lake geauga still into the 30s. headed into the rest of the afternoon, though, our highs return back to the upper 30s. winds will be on the light side, 5 to 10 miles per hour. so get out and about and soak up all of this sunshine for today and tomorrow when our highs return to the mid- to upper 40s for your super bowl sunday. this all changes very quickly, nick, going into late sunday evening into your sunday. so soak it up.

>> governor kasich held his 100th town hall since entering the race. that's more than anybody he is in the race. he was joined by former ohio state buckeye and new england patriot mike vrabel serving up cakes to new hampshire. that's something that voters not only expect but demand. people here want to meet the candidates. you can't let up. granite state voters have a history of deciding late. back in 2012, one in five voters decided on election day. governor kasich talked about getting the attention in this race and how voters here can change. >> nobody knows who the governor of ohio is. they don't know if it's kasich or casey. they don't know kosich. they don't know. many think that my name is governor of ohio, okay? but if i emerge from here, i

taking a look at the power of 5, looking really good. you only see just a few whimsical cloud making its way to the easement today, east -- to the east. today, we'll see mostly sunny weather all the way until 7:00 p.m. out and about, the wind really not an issue out of the south, 5 to 10 miles per hour. just a very quiet weather pattern. this is our next storm system. it's going to provide us with a little bit of rain, late sunday, around 10:00 or 11:00, we'll start to see that moisture make its way through. but look well to the east. this is that system i'm talking about as the primaries tuesday for new hampshire. look at that. it makes its way up towards the

disrupt a little bit of travel. that front passes us and makes its way towards washington, new york, along with cooler temperatures. across northeast ohio as that front makes its way through monday, it's going to be an equal opportunity for everyone to get a little bit of a dusting here, one to three inches of accumulation. today, sunday, a very quiet week. 38 degrees, still above normal for this time of the year. we'll go with partly cloudy skies for tonight. lows still into the upper 20s, nick, but look at this. winter, she wants to make an appearance here. as we head into monday, we'll be tracking that snow. tuesday into wednesday, a little bit of lake effect snow and big time temperature drop. let's show you the storm that's moving in monday into tuesday afternoon. it's not going to be heavy accumulation. we are forecasting, as i said, one to three inches.

the cold weather. now, we do have a moderate wind as it tarts to pick up here, gusts, potentially 35 to 40 miles per hour and that will bring our wind chill temperatures down, feeling like we are into the upper teens. hopefully we'll get a little bit of a break as we go into cloudy conditions. with both the ohio primary election which is 38 days away and the general election, important. ohio is so important that ohio has eight presidents, more than any other. >> the heels echo off the place. generations ago, on a day that this place first opened, thousands of pairs of feet walked this route. this is a place in cleveland

from cleveland. >> during his life, he actually stated that he wanted to be buried at lake view cemetery. >> reporter: the story begins and ends in cleveland but its middle wind through the american presidency, the white house in washington, d.c. and there is the lake view cemetery, final resting place of a murder who was murdered. this is the memorial to president garfield who was murdered by a dranked assassin who fired a bullet in 1881. when the body of the 21st president was brought here, it was to a temporary vault. eight years later came the completion of a permanent building. the body of james garfield was moved here. he was a vital player in the 19th century building of cleveland. >> he was very popular and it changed our thinking about

things in this country. so he advanced us as a society >> reporter: a sealed casket bears the body of president dwar field. the crypt also holds the body of garfield's wife,lacretia. >> on the right is the body of wife. >> the birthday of james a garfield, the president of the united states sends a high- ranking u.s. military officer to this place. the officer brings with him a wreath to be laid at this place. it is in memory and in tribute of an american president, james a. garfield, here at this presidential resting place. garfield had been president for only four months when he was shot. government of the united states
