lead up to the murder of the 16- year-old girl. we know it happened right outside of the home you are looking at here. there are several other residents that live along the street. i got a chance to speak to them and they told me they would see this young girl out and about walking up and down the sidewalk with her boyfriend. this happened yesterday when she was shot just before 1:00 in the afternoon, when apopka police responded to the home. after reports of shots fired. when they arrived, they found the 15-year-old girl had been shot and killed. crime scene tape surrounded the home as investigators worked to find her killer it was by the evening they announced they arrested the 16-year-old. the suspect has been charged with second degree murder. i just spoke to those in the area that heard of the arrest. here's what they told me. >> it's pretty sad.
arrested. >> and we have reached out to the joint homicide investigation team woe is now leading this investigation. we are working to find out the name of that suspect as well as when he will face a judge. we will have what we find on "eyewitness news" at 6:00. >> >> we told you 15-year-old antwon davis was shot and killed last weekend. 17-year-old michael anderson appeared in court yesterday and will remain in jail for 21 days. investigators say that he met anderson's girlfriend lead police to the suspect, where he was hiding in a wooded area. we first told think morning about a shooting at the diamond club. deputies told us several involved. day.
potential suspect. >> reporter: the sheriff's office told me they have interviewed several people and they have possible leads. it happened at the club behind me. they were out here 12:30 early sunday morning and they waited until the daytime hours to take another look at the parking lot to look for additional evidence deputies placed yellow evidence markers outside of the club on semoran boulevard. some of them near shell casings they found. the police say a shooting lead to a shooting in the parking lot. one man died. two were sent to the hospital. they are in critical condition. deputies are working to find out if those involved were part of a motorcycle group or affiliated with a gang. again, for arrests have been made so far. i did reach out to the general manager of the club.
