this is channel 9 eyewitness news at 6:00, coverage you can count on. >> authorities are searching for answers in the shooting of a 15-year-old girl allegedly killed by her 16-year-old boyfriend. >> they were play fighting at first. >> now detectives are trying to learn how the teens got access to the gun. >> we've been following this story since yesterday. we first told you about the shooting on eyewitness news at 6:00. investigators say destiny lardman was shot around 1:30 at her family's home in apopka. roy ramos is live there. you spoke to the victim's best friend who heard the shot and rush in to try and save the teen.

that she was inside of the house when this all happened. she said that that victim was in one of the bedrooms inside of the house that you're looking at right here play fighting as she described it with her boyfriend at the time that she heard that shot fired. she tried to administer cpr but it was too late. >> she was a good person. she was snow and ice. -- she was nice and friendly. >> cla -- klarissa did not want to show us her face because she was upset. >> deputies responded to the home yesterday after reports of a shooting. as officers arrived they found the 15-year-old fatally shot. she said she was in the living room. >> i ran to the room and she ran out. i said what happened, he said i don't know. >> there were nine people in the house.

the victim, her boyfriend and two others who described the victim as play fighting before her boyfriend walked out of the room and returned with a gun. >> he clicked it three times and then he backed up and then he clicked it again and the fifth time it shot. >> i reached out to the joint homicide investigation team now leading the investigation who have not confirmed the story but did say they have made an arrest of a 16-year-old. >> the suspect has been charged with second degree murder but has not yet been identified. she told me her boyfriend stayed with her while she try today revive her. -- tried to revive her. >> he tried to slap her face like are you okay. >> reporter: i got a chance to speak to the victim's family. they told me in an hour or so they will hold a prayer service outside of the home. we reached out to the joint homicide investigation team to confirm a name that we have received of that suspect. we'll have what

in apopka, roy ramos, channel 9, eyewitness news. >> we'll have the latest on eyewitness news at 10:00 and 11:00. you can listen to the rest of the friend's interview on wftv.com and click on the video tab. new tonight, the suspect in a deadly hit and run in orange county is in jail. state troopers tracked him down after a tip led them to his location and they arrested him in seminole county. mike man zoni is in seminole county now. the suspect didn't have a valid driver's license. >> reporter: he only had an id with him. troopers arrested alfred alvarez in this home around lunchtime today just after noon. investigators say alvarez hit and killed 52-year-old charles mcmurray on march 11th and then took off. they said alvarez did not stop when troopers tried to pull him over moments before that deadly accident. this happened all at the corner of colonial drive and

orlando. state troopers say mcmurray was riding a bike when alvarez ran him over. investigators charged alvarez with murder, vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a crash involving death and driving without a valid license. right now alvarez is here in seminole county at the jail. he's held tonight without a bond. for now live in sanford in seminole county, channel 9, eyewitness news. police in edgewater say a cigarette caused an accidental house fire last night and $30,000 in damage. nobody was injured. the flames were put out within 30 minutes. you can see the smoke damage spread from the garage. the people who lived there are staying with relatives while the house is being repaired. some eroded pipes caused problems at an orange county waste water station. a sprinkler main broke at if waste station off of goodholmes road in orlando and caused a back up of waste water. the clean up process will continue into monday. ed the environmental

scene assessing any potential hazards. tonight orange county deputies say several motorcycle groups may have involved in a shooting that left one person dead at an adult club in orange county. it happened at the diamond club at 12:30 on semoran boulevard. jew he -- julie salmone reports. >> this morning deputies continued their investigation, several lanes of semoran boulevard in this area were shut down. as you can see they're now open in both directions. >> the orange county sheriff's office said a fight in the parking lot of diamond club led to a shooting just after 12:30 sunday morning. one man died, two others were sent to the hospital. deputies were out there for more than 10 hours and told me they waited until the sun came up to once again search the parking lot for evidence. they placed yellow markers outside the adult entertainment

markers next to bullet casings. >> deputies said at least 12 rounds were fired. the sheriff's office said they're working to determine if those involved were part of a motorcycle group or were affiliated with a gang. >> i spoke with the general manager of the club. she told me at this point she has no comment regarding the shooting. reporting in orange county, julie salmone, channel 9, eyewitness news. we told you in january about another shooting near the diamond club. back then a man told deputies he was shot in the torso near the club. he drove himself to a near by business and later died at the hospital. this man john larston is facing attempted murder charges. he stabbed his girlfriend with a screwdriver. it happened this morning in the tent the couple shared behind a home. the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries to her neck and back. the two were arguing when he attacked her. he ran before police arrived but later turned himself in. within the last hour

look how the temperatures drop. in orlando kingswood manner was in the 70s through dinner time and then the 60s just before bedtime. by morning the low 50s. so with the cool northwest wind the temperatures drop quickly. if you're in ocala, marion landing the temperatures fall faster. in the 60s by 10:00 p.m., midnight the 50s. by morning we're talking low to mid 40s. find your location on the map. if you're northwest of i-4, palm coast, deland, lake george, sumter county you'll be in the 40s by morning. in downtown the low 50s, into seminole county as well. apopka and zellwood 49 degrees by morning. in lake county widespread upper 40s by morning including leesberg, pen brook fairways. 49 degrees your early morning temperature. now tomorrow even though it will be sunny look at our high temperatures only in the upper
