hope you had a wonderful weekend. i am daniel miller. >> julie: good morning, i am julie grauert. february 1 into a new month and warmer-than-usual weather. meteorologist shiri spear joins us at the stormtracker weather center. shiri, 60s, that true? >> shiri: possibly 60 degrees in a couple of spots this morning. the way we are starting 40s on the map. boston at 45 degrees. 42 in worcester. 47 in plymouth. 34 in nashua, so cooler spots in particular into southern new hampshire, but these temperatures so far above average. broken cloud cover this morning so by 6:00, we have got temperatures still kind of hovering in the lower 40s here. the brightest time of your day will be the morning hours. once we hit the afternoon, clouds are on the increase at noontime today. temperature-wise, how about middle 50s by lunchtime. upper 50s if not 60 this afternoon. but along with the thicker clouds along southeastern mass, we have the risk for a couple

the caucuses start at 7:00 tonight local time, that is 8:00 in boston. party officials think they will start to have some results within two hours of everything starting tonight. volunteers with the campaigns are also making last-minute calls to residents here urging them to show up at their can you cuss precincts and be part of the process, but there is a big wild card to all of this. there is a storm approaching this way, a big winter storm. there is always a blizzard watch for this area. i have been talking with our meteorologists back in boston, and they believe the timing of the storm will move in after the caucuses start tonight. party officials are really banking on that. they are worried that if the storm moves at all and speeds up, it could impact the voter turnout. 120,000 people showed up at the caucuses four years ago. the governor here are expecting 150,000 people to show up tonight. that will be a record if it happens, but all eyes on the weather. if the snow moves in early, that certainly could impact

-- breezy as get our day started, but thing is what i really want to show you the fact that an average low which we will expect late before sunrise only 23 degrees. that's what we should be waking up to. average high, 36. so we are starting out bole the normal high temperature for this time the year. morning. you are going to see some sunshine. as it does, thicker clouds still well off to the west. those will be thicken up out ahead of the cold front and up ahead of that the southwest winds and this really bumps up the temperatures. 45 degrees right now in boston. we have got 13-mile-per-hour breeze. and we have got mostly cloudy skies since we get into the afternoon. i actually think we will see some decent breaks in the clouds. middle 40s at 6 a.m. by 8 a.m. by 10 a.m., 50 degrees. by noontime, 55 degrees. we should end up peaking in the upper 50s in the boston area. something like norwood probably warming up by a couple more degrees.

for coming to the rescue of a man trapped by a fallen tree. it happened near a house near mount st. mary abbey. the 75-year-old victim was trying to cut down treat with a chainsaw when it fell on his leg. his calls for help were heard by a nun who was taking a walk and praying. >> the nuns heard his calls of help and they investigated and found where he was and had to come back out to somebody. >> daniel: without the nuns help, he could not have survived overnight. he is suffering from hypothermia. the movie "spotlight" scored big. the movie is the investigation into the church sex abuse scandal. it won the top award for best performance.
