where we see the heaviest volume 28 minutes on the expressway from the braintree split to the pike, 50 minutes on 93 south from 495 to the leverett connector. gene and sara, back to you. >> gene: new details now on breaking story we have been following for you throughout the morning. two crime scenes in boston now connected one in dorchester and other one in chinatown. >> sara: woman was hit about i a car at one scene and appears dragged for miles. fox 25 jessica reyes is live on mass ave where this awful crash ended overnight. jess, you have new details from the state police. >> jessica:ia you, sara, minutes ago we heard back from state police, they have been piecing this together the last couple of hours, and they say the victim in this crash may have been dragged from chinatown all the way here to this intersection in dorchester. you could see they are still out here at this hour. the crews at both scenes overnight. police believe the suv you see across the street here is involved in some way. take a look, we have the video
believe -- state police believe rather, that's where the victim was hit. shot on kneeland street near harrison street and sky fox was over the scene at dorchester, this is at columbia road and mass ave in dorchester. police have had columbia road closed off for several hours. this is a very busy -- one of the busiest intersections in dorchester and the scene again, it is still very active at this hour. now, boston and state police have been here at the columbia road scene since about 2:00 this morning. just about five hours now. it is less than half mile from 93 and state police believe that is the road that suspect may have taken to get here. taking look back live out at the scene, police are still out here at this hour, we did just get information around state police, but they are now handing the investigation over to boston police. they say that this unfortunately was likely fatal and new details will have to come from boston police. already e-mailed them and getting more information,
possible, and we will pass it along to you. live in dorchester, jessica reyes, fox25 news. >> sara: ongoing investigation in roxbury where a three-year-old has been rushed to the hospitalized. boston police tell fox25 the child was taken from a home on alpine street. the injuries were described to us last night as traumatic. our crew was there overnight as investigators collected evidence have the house. the child was taken to boston medical center. right now there's no word on the child's condition. we will go live to the scene in just about 20 minutes. >> gene: today primary season officially kicks off with the iowa caucuses and blizzard could impact the caucus tonight and in demain where candidates are making one final push for support. >> reporter: after months and months trying to find out the who was the edge of the presidential race, tonight we should finally know when the caucuses begin and candidates
most of them, once again, are spread out across the state campaigning with different rallies and town hall meetings. chris christie getting started first at 7:30 and rest will follow suit. caucuses start 7:00, 8:00 in boston and they think they will have some results within two hours of everything starting tonight. volunteers for the campaigns are also making last minute calls to residents here urging them to show up at the caucus precincts and be part of the process. but there's also a big wild card to all of this. there's a storm approaching this way. a big winter storm. there's already a blizzard watch for the area and i have been talking about our meetingologist back in boston and they believe the timing of the storm will move in after the caucuses start tonight. party officials are really banking on that the. this erworried if the storm moves at all and speeds up it could impact the voter turnout.

enough. >> gene: 7:09 and happening today we are expected to find out why an amtrak train was going twice the limit when crashed and went eight people and injured more than 200. train derailed in philadelphia last may. it was going 106 miles per hour around a sharp curve. today federal investigators planned to release what they call a trove of evidence. expected that more than 2,000 pages of documents will be released. they will include black box data and transcripts of interviews with the train's engineer. recently learned the engineer was not using the cell phone at the time of the crash and posted documents on the website as soon as they come out. gene: today the mbta will hold another pair of meetings to talk about fair hikes for riders they will get chance to weigh in on two different proposals. one would raise fares by 7%, another hike fares by 10%. all in effort to try to close a 242 million-dollar deficit to fix broken trains. one meeting will be at ten park

road in dorchester. that's at least a ten minute drive. see
