within 1 degree of the record. this morning we are starting off cooler, 18 degrees cooler in norwood now than it was yesterday at this time. the 20s and 30s as we go out the door. worcester at 31. leominster at 35. hollis, new hampshire at 27. right now boston itself checking in at a balmy 40 degrees and look at the suburbs in the 20s and 30s. natick at 28 degrees. reading at 28. we have walpole at 32. currently freezing there. 30 in hanover. sandwich at 38. nantucket, 40. so we have got anywhere from the 20s to the lower 40s on tap now. about 45 degrees at noontime today. all day sunshine. going be too really good-looking day. that 47 degrees at 3 p.m., still 10 degrees above average. i have got warmer temperatures coming your way for the day tomorrow and also break down that rain threat and we will get some of the worst of the downpours coming up in less than ten minutes. get you back over to julie

heads into new hampshire the winner iowa. 27.7% for cruz. 24.3% for trump. marco rubio ha 23.1% of the vote. reporter cavern kaffa has the late details from iowa. >> reporter: after months of listening to the candidates, the voters finally got their say on monday night. the first contest of the 2016 presidential campaign, the iowa caucuses, and they turned out in record numbers. there were reports of long lines to get into caucus sites and overflow crowds at many of those sites. >> tonight is a victory for courageous conservatives across iowa. >> reporter: on the republican side, ted cruz had branded himself as a true conservative in his battle with donald trump, and his politics and you heavy courting of the evangelical got the win. trump the most humble thanked iowa supporters for the second iowa supporters for the

manchester and will be bringing you primary specials every night featuring fox political reporter sharman sacchetti win depth reports on the candidates and expert analysis. on primary night we will one for our news at 5 p.m. straight through 11:30 bringing you live results, live results from candidates' headquarters and speeches as they happen. we will stream them on and the fox25 news app. as soon as we have a winner called for the democrats in iowa, we will bring it to you. 4:36 this morning. emergency workers save a driver who crashed into a pole on the south shore. this was the scene on cherry street in plymouth around 1:00. when the crews arrived police were on the scene taking picture were on the scene taking pictures and gathering evidence. we have reached out to plymouth police to find out the condition of the driver and what led up to the crash. we will update you as soon as we get that information. a mistake behind the wheel is being eyed at the reason for a car going -- crashing through local post office. a witness told fox25 the

through the metal frame door and windows. fortunately no one inside was hurt. in fact one woman working inside yesterday afternoon. police are investigating, but they say they believe operator error caused the crash. this morning a child remains in the hospital with serious injuries. the 3-year-old was taken from a home in roxbury. fox25 jessica reyes is at the house right now. jess, police remain on the scene more than two days later. >> reporter: they do, julie, police have been in and out of this home ever since they were first called here late sunday night. there is a cruiser out here this morning. police still working to piece together exactly what happened. we know that little boy is still in the hospital right now struggling to survive. and this morning, sources tell us a relative may be the one responsible for this. police were first called to the home on alpine street late sunday night when they found that 3-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries. police haven't said how he was

charged, but they do tell us that he has severe head trauma among other serious injuries. neighbors watched for hours as police carried bags of evidence out of the house. one woman we spoke to just sickened when she heard what happened. >> breaks my heart, you know, to think that someone inflicted things on him. it really breaks my heart. >> reporter: little boy's 5 >> reporter: little boy's 5-month-old sister was also taken from the house. and she is now dcf custody. we know the little boy, he is at boston medical center in critical condition this morning, and already this morning, we have reached out to boston police for an update on where their investigation stands. right now. as soon as we hear back, we will let now. he live in roxbury, jessica reyes, fox25 news. a concord woman is rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive at a pool. this happened around 4:30 yesterday afternoon at the beach swim and fitness center in concord. rescue crews performed cp rto revive the 47-year-old.

right now we don't know her condition. concord police are investigating concord police are investigating. students head back to class following more violent threats to several local school districts. barnstable high school cancelled extracurricular activity as police got a threat as the last bell rang yesterday. police have not released details of the threat but that it was submitted electronically. mashpee middle and high school were evacuated because of a bomb threat. skyfox over the schools. the students were evacuation waited and all backpacks were searched before everyone was sent home for the day. a robocall sending students out of their classrooms at lexington college as well. they did a sweep of the school and found in threat as students returned to classes. a phoned in threat to billerica memorial high school launched a police response. they determined it was a low level threat and classes resumd after a sweep of the building. police stayed at the school the rest of the day. a local fire fighter has been suspended for facebook post about drug addicts. the town of weymouth has suspend

suspended fire fighter mark carron for 90 days without pay. on facebook he called drug addicts "losers." he mrimd that patients should be left to die instead of receiving the overdose reversing drug narcan. weymouth's fire chief said the fire fighter was frustrated but not an excuse. >> better way to deal with your frustrations except putting on -- posting on social media. i say write a letter to the chief. >> daniel: some protesters have called for carron to be fired but the chief said no further disciplinary action. time people accused of abusing students with special needs have been ordered to stay away from the massachusetts school. the suspects were all employees at the eagleton school in great barrington this barrington barrington. they pled not guilty in court. treats young boys and men with learning disabilities and behavior rale problems. neighbors at the school surprised by the charges. >> they had a good reputation. i never heard anything bad come

i expect the snow to be focused. early tomorrow morning between 7 and 10 a little freezing drizzle and a little sleet southwestern new hampshire, southern vermont. otherwise by 10 a.m., temperatures above freezing. lowell back to worcester and the north and west. it closes in on the boston area by late morning here, and the afternoon is just filled with showers. you are going to see a lot of pockets of heavy rain in southern new hampshire, western massachusetts. that is where we get some of the highest rain totals. boston not getting spared. nobody getting spared because the rain just continues really throughout the day with some of the heaviest rain for southeastern massachusetts for the evening hours. really not ending until early on thursday. the seven-day forecast with the weekend in view. 47 with sunshine. wind-whipped rain for the day tomorrow at 54 degrees. 50 on thursday with a lingering shower along the coastline. by friday, 39 by friday, 39. it will be bright. on and off clouds followed by a mix of rain and snow on monday.

coming up next, out contents this morning we still do not know what caused this massive fire at a commercial building in l. a. l. a., but fire investigators say propane cylinders stored in the building helped fuel it. the fire sent thick smoke into the air north of the city. 140 fire fighters on the scene were able to get those flames under control without any injuries. and an e. coli outbreak link and an e. coli outbreak linked to a popular burrito chain appears to be over. the last several months, dozens of chipotle customers in several states reported getting sick there. the cause is still unknown, but this morning the cdc says the outbreak has been contained. the company still plans to close all stores for a few hours next nondiscuss with employees new food safety protocol. the a woman who sued the state of new hampshire for access access to medical marijuana has died. she suffered with stage 4 cancer in her brain, limp nodes. she argued that she needed the drug in maine where it was being sold.
