26 degrees. same clear skies. everybody gets the sunshine, but look at how high the temperatures are going this afternoon. in fact i would not be surprised if nor wood gets up to 50 degrees there. providence, rhode island, 51. new bedford 50 degrees and upper 40s in plymouth, beverly over to lawrence. bedford at 48 degrees. boston at 46. worcester, 45. and nashua, new hampshire, a at 47 degrees. today, sunshine and a couple of high, thin clouds. this is the next player that will be moving toward us and that is where our wind, our rain, also mild temperatures are coming from. so 7:00 tomorrow morning, here is my concern. you can how rain -- i should say precipitation is barely hitting western new england, if it arrives any soon than this, we have a situation where southern new hampshire, southern vermont and southern massachusetts could pick up a little bit of sleet and a little touch of freezing rain. because the warmer air is on the way though, we will scour out
in the morning. that's why you are seeing it switch from pink to green here. at the very latest happen at noon over the border in southern vermont, and you can see the rain comes into town, especially heavy north and west of boston where we get some of the heaviest pockets of rain, but rain through the afternoon. really ends up being a very rainy day. we will see gusts around 40 miles per hour in particular afternoon and evening. and you can see 10:00, we have got some heavy rain falling in and around the boston area, some of the heaviest showers for southeastern massachusetts are going to hold back until we hit the evening hours. so during the daylight hours, heaviest stuff to the north and west of boston. for the evening and overnight, to the south and east of boston. and i know thursday morning here is looking pretty harmless and pretty quiet yet. that front will be a slow mover which means we could maintain a couple of coastal showers as we hit that thursday forecast. highs tomorrow pretty incredible highs tomorrow pretty incredible. starts, that risk for freezing drizzle, 49 degrees means we
rain. 53 in boston. 54 in plymouth with downpours anywhere from half an inch of rain in southeastern massachusetts up to an inch and a half of rain to the north and west of boston. groundhogs day today bringing in the sunshine at 47 degrees for the day tomorrow, it is not just the rain that we are going to be tracking but the wind as well. it ends up being very gusty here as those showers are coming on through. you can see winds will start gusting up around 40 miles per hour. perhaps even a little stronger than that for the cape and island, so a wind-driven rain for the second half of wednesday. by thursday, slight chance of a shower at the coast. friday, i will clear us out with a high of only 39 degrees. on and off clouds and 40s for the weekend and the late mix on monday. back to you, guys. >> all right, shiri. a marathon bombing survivor is ready for her next big challenge challenge. still ahead, how she is hoping to help complete strangers by running their marathon.
