by noontime today, 33 degrees. we have got some light snow overspreading the region, but this afternoon and this evening, snow squalls become some of my biggest concerns, and with it comes a chance for some accumulation. in particular around lunchtime and that evening commute. i am going to break down the specific hours where that threat peaks coming up in less than 10. now over to julie for a check of live drive time traffic. >> julie: shiri, things looking quiet. route 1 route 1, 93 south. everything moving along fine. an accident on route 1 in the revere area but overall volume as i mentioned is light so not going to complicate those drive times. pike wide open from framingham through newton as you can see into brighton. 24 minutes on the pike eastbound from 495 to mass avenue. 8 minutes on the expressway from the braintree split to the pike. 19 minutes from 93 south from 495 to the leverett connector. we are following two breaking story breaking stories this morning. first, a deadly fire in fitchburg. one person was killed at this house on walter street.
people out of the home just after midnight. the video show the flames shooting out of the home sent to us by a viewer. right now they are at a local hospital, and it is unclear how serious their injuries may be. fire officials are on the scene investigating, and our crew is there gathering details. we will go live to the scene in just 30 minutes. also breaking in quincy. a deadly crash near the blue hills reservation. two people were killed in a crash on route 28 just before 4 a.m. our crews sent us these photos from the scene. police were called just before 1 police were called just before 1:30 this morning and found the car on fire. a third person was pulled out alive and rushed to a boston hospital. police are investigate what caused the crash. now. our crew on scene tell us that traffic is being rerouted. a live report from that location is on the way at 5 a.m. 4:43. a record turnout pushes outsider a record turnout pushes outsiders to victory in the new hampshire primary. you saw the results live here on fox25 last night. these are the numbers.
cruise cruising to victory over former secretary of state hillary clinton in the democratic primary. sanders earned 60% of the vote to clinton's 38%. for the republicans, donald trump takes the win with 35% of the vote, but ohio governor john kasich may be the big winner here with a surprise second here with a surprise second-place finish. eye winner senator ted cruz took third place. for trump, the skin his first on the campaign trail and in his victory speech, he pulls no bunches when talking about his goals for america. we are going to start winning again, and we are going to win so much. you are going to be so happy. we are going to make america so great again. >> julie: today, thump take his campaign to clemson university in south carolina. that is the site of the next republican primary in just ten days. ohio governor john kasich has serious momentum this morning score morning scoring a surprise second-place finish.
the state leading up to last night's vote. his performance shakes up the battle between fellow republicans marco rubio and jeb bush. he talks about his success in new hampshire and positive nature of his campaign. >> we never went negative because we have more good to sell than spend our time being critical of somebody else. >> julie: kasich claimed 16% of the gop votes and walked away with three delegates. he will have a town hall this afternoon. bernie sanders using his victory in new hampshire to gain momentum across the rest of the country. he is heading to new york toe try to win the endorsement of reverend al sharpton. he thanked his supporters in concord for the record voter turnout, but he warned his campaign could soon face more attacks because of his success. >> we are throwing -- they are throwing everything at me except the kitchen sink, and i have the

democrats vote one week later in nevada, the democrats are on the 20th and republicans the 23rd. then super tuesday. on march 1, primary and caucuses in 14 states including massachusetts. today is the last die register to vote in the bay state primary. third-place winner ted cruz tweeting overnight that he is continue to south carolina. meanwhile, new jersey governor chris christie will not be going there. instead he is at home taking time regroup. >> we have decided that we are going to go home to new jersey tomorrow, and we are going to take a deep breath. see what the final results are tonight because it matters whether 5th or 6th and how the final votes have counted. >> daniel: kristi is 6th place it behind marco rubio. despite coming in fourth, jeb bush will move forward south carolina. he claimed 11% of the vote compared to 3% in iowa. he said new hampshire voters have reset the republican race.

we are talking wake-up temperatures at or below zero here by sunday morning. this is the situation this morning. one where we have got snow that will be moving in from west to east throughout morning. most of this is going to be very light, very patchy, but there is the opportunity for couple of bursts of heavier, steadier snow. by 10 a.m., let's plan on snow from manchester to fitchburg to worcester. know futurecast not showing much here, but will be light and again scattered snowshowers here and then it reaches boston shortly thereafter, so by lunchtime, we have snow north shore, southern new hampshire, central massachusetts and western massachusetts, and in and around the boston area where you see that beacher shading. those are some bursts of heavier snow. they come in and out very quickly and they dump a lot of snow in a short amount of time. one of the biggest concerns not the fact that roads turn slippery, but also visibility becomes very tough to navigate here and the timing is obviously

the snow showers will dry up, temperatures that fall back into the teens overnight is what you wake up to and tomorrow's warm-up only in the upper 20s inland. up to 30 degrees in and around the boston area and more flurries here for your thursday forecast. not just that, but it gets pretty blustery around here going with 40% risk of snow showers. 24 here on friday, partly sunny, and for the weekend a warmer day and for the weekend a warmer day. and on sunday, waking up to zero but look at the projected wind chills, 20 to 30 degrees below zero for 7:00 in the morning and for the afternoon, sub zero wind chills. bitter cold for the weekend as i mentioned. let's plan ahead. dress warmly and dress the kids warmly if they want to play outside and into next week, a chance of rain and snow here late monday into the day on tuesday.
