wednesday, february 24. i am julie grauert. >> daniel: good >> daniel: good morning, i am daniel miller. freezing rain will make for a slick morning commute. right no meteorologist shiri spear in the stormtracker weather center and shiri, you are watching the temperatures very closely. >> shiri: really closely. spots in massachusetts, southern new hampshire, icy spots. because temperatures are at or below freezing, the threat will last us until noontime in the worcester area. only until 7 a.m. in the nashua area, but back into keene, that could last us almost all day long. worcester at 33. i have 31 in leominster and into hollis new hampshire at 31 into hollis new hampshire at 31. we still have snowflakes and sleet mixing in create sleet mixing in creating that icy mix on the roads. worcester, it is primary worcester, it is primarily freezing rain right now. temperatures are warming significantly to marlborough at 34 degrees. lexington, 34. boston, 39. reading, 37. 39 in brockton. all those spots above freezing. it is just plain rain there.

of the weather. one of the worst-hit areas was a mobile home park in louisiana where two people died and at least 30 people were injured. at least 15 tornadoes touched down and ripped apart homes, brought down power lines and sent cars flying. meteorologist have issued flashflood and tornado watches and expect more severe weather throughout the afternoon. rescues will get their first look at the damage when the sun comes up this morning. 4:08. police continue their accept for a local woman who never showed up to pick up her son from day care. this morning her husband just wants her found. >> we just want her home safely >> we just want her home safely. >> reporter: judith sales was last seen monday afternoon on her way to pick unher 10-year-old but never arrived. she called police who tracked her phone to connecticut. no idea why she or her phone would be there but hopes police will bring her back.

toyota camry. if you have seen her or know where she might be, call hol where she might be, call holbrook police. we will be updating the search for you all morning. in another missing persons case. police searched the charles river for the man that vanished in downtown boston. zachary marr was celebrating his birth at the bell in hand when he disappeared. new surveillance video that lead them to believe that marr fell into the water. a search of the water so far has not found anything. an alleged drunk driver, the person he hit, are both in the hospital this morning. weymouth police say thomas mohan of weymouth was drunk and on drugs when he slammed into another car and a man crossing the street. it happened yesterday afternoon on washington street in weymouth. mohan's mother is devastated that he is involved in something like this. >> i am in shock right now. i really feel dizzy. and he is going through a revery rough time, but that's

>> daniel: the victim is in the hospital with serious leg and face injuries. mohan was also taken to the hospital and will face a judge when he is released. new this morning, federal agents say an electronic ankle bracelet found in quincy belongs to the u.s. probation department. the bracelet is used to monitor criminals. fox25 investigates have been tracing the source of this bracelet since we first learned that police were circulatinging an e-mail trying to figure out where it came from. someone found it and turned it over to quincy police. the chief u.s. probation officer for massachusetts told thoughts bracelet belonged to that agency but was cut off by a person in july. that individual was taken into custody the same month and is off the streets this morning. we will be working today to find out why that person was ordered to wear the device. police discover more than they expected inside a new hampshire home which they thought was a meth lab. police in danville were called to a home in the cotton farm mobile home park.

495 to encounter icy spots. check out the snow and a little bit of snow before the icing rolls in. framingham actually got an inch of snow. almost an inch in goshen and tracements in taunton and boston. boston seeing that plain ol' rain. acted you can see where we have that pink from worcester northward is where we have the ice icy conditions this morning. hour-by-hour forecast in boston doesn't have me too worried. temperatures that are close to 40 degrees here through much of the morning commute and you can see that we tap into those most of the day showers. we have temperatures that will be working our way through -- during university noon. high temperatures today are going to happen late in the day. so even though we are going to get into the 50s it is probably while you sleep tonight. worcester, 32 degrees at 6 a.m. it is going to be close to freezing. we will keep it by late morning we will keep it by late morning. going up to 36 degrees by 10 a.m. my concern is that it is going to be slower to warm up.

and temperatures stay incredibly mild overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning. just want to stop here at 2:00 overnight tonight because this is when temperatures run straight into the morning commute tomorrow. heavy rain ending likely between 7 and 8 a.m. we have strong gusts that occur with the morning showers, plus as we get into the afternoon, we are going to see winds come back into the picture and we could see gusts early in the day and late in the day around 60 miles per hour. that could end up doing wind damage on the book ends of the days. be careful on thursday. the clouds start to break apart. only a couple of flurries late in the day and talk quieter weather for the end of the week and the weekend. highs today in boston, 40. 43 in worcester. 57 in plymouth. just remember it happens late. tomorrow we have highs in the 50s again. the seven-day forecast with the weekend always in view. a little dose of reality hits with a high of 40 degrees. that is . that is completely normal this
