>> local police catching a suspected robber after he allegedly aindicated police officers. ers? >> found two men fighting. the 20-year-old suspect allegedly assaulted the officers and ran away. police found him yesterday with help from the public. (stand by for captions.) >> a brockton community coming together to remember a boy who died after he fell through an icy pond. >> remember if you believe it -- say that. >> friend and family gathered at a brockton community center on presume street holding a memorial for c.j.thomson. he died after falling into an icy pond. a funeral for the

police say thomson and another 9-year-old boy fell into the pond behind the academy in brockton. rescuers say the nine-year-old, thomson didn't survive. >> reporter: heavy police and fire presence on the mass avenue bridge. police say they received a call that someone was going to jump off the bridge. when crews arrived at the scene and sevenned the area they learned that it was a hoax. emergency crews on the scene of a serious accident. this is in lawrence. a car flipped over on south union street landing up side down in the middle of the road. the street was shut down as crews removed the car. no word on injuries. >> reporter: a cyclone wreaking havoc in the fiji islands. hundreds of homes destroyed. the death toll is rising. >> anchor: wild ride in san francisco. a side show causing a side show.

. >> anchor: welcome back. a rare tiger cub born at a zoo. the cub weighs in at about five pounds. officials don't know the sex of the tiger just yet since its mother is still protecting it. but experts say there are less than 400 sum at ran tigers around the world. they're cute and cuddly now. >> anchor: the people who have them as pets. >> reporter: i've enough trouble taking care of two regular sized domestic cats. a slight chance for a little bit of rain or snow but whatever happens tonight

next storm which will bring us two days of on and off rain. rain and heavy wind likely by the time we get to thursday. this time last week i was talking about wind chills 30-40 below 0. now we've 47 in boston. 45 bedford. 40 degrees would be the normal high temperature for the middle of itself afternoon. we're above that but we're not going to warm up a whole lot. certainly not as much as yesterday. look closely. got a front on the map. 40s and 50s ahead of the map. 45 d.c.but behind that front 38 in burlington. 34 buffalo. so you get the idea. there is slightly cooler weather that begin working in here this afternoon. consequently won't be a huge warm-up as we head throughout the day. temperatures in the upper 40s now and we'll top out maybe upper 40s, low 50s as we head into the afternoon hours. not a huge warm-up but by february standards that is

what we had last week is ridiculously mild. on the back edge of the front there is a little area of low pressure brewing in the ohio river valley. if you watch closely, you get the idea this rain is moving due east. more east than north. so it's going to pass probably well south of us, just give us a glancing blow with rain beginning for the south coast, islands and the cape probably late this even. as temperatures drop after midnight the rain could briefly -- change over to snow or mix. the pink would be the mix and this is only for a few of us. the cape and the islands, that south coast that would be about it. middle of the night tonight. and by the time everybody is heading back to work tomorrow, this is moving back into the ocean. little to no accumulation of snow expected whatsoever. again skies quickly clear out as we head into mid morning tomorrow. the rest of monday looks quiet. tuesday also looks pretty quiet. the timeline for a storm system has moved up. it corks the rain could get here early enough on

as a little bit of snow possibly sleet or freezing rain for some. quickly changing to rain wednesday afternoon and then all rain likely heavy rain wednesday night into thursday. accompanied by strong gusty winds. behind that slightly cooler weather heading into next weekend. >> anchor: a dangerous joy ride caught on camera.% the driver doing donuts on the san francisco bay bridge. the scene completely stopping traffic and by the time police arrived there, the car was gone through the smoke. >> there is so much of it, too. today they're studying the jaw-dropping video hoping to track down the driver. nick emmons has more. >> reporter: this is the cause of a stand still on the bay bridge in san francisco, a side show in the middle of the westbound lanes that stopped all traffic. california highway patrol knew about it but not this video until it was released. >> units responded to the scene. by time we got there, though, no vehicles were

side shows or driving recklessly. >> reporter: they didn't catch the drivers at the exit either and this video is helping their investigation. >> not only can the participants be seriously injured or killed but, more importantly innocent bystanders. it's a serious danger. >> reporter: it's becoming increasingly popular and while the officer says the number of side shows hasn't increased the number of fans and potion potts have. this was post-ed under bay area movement. the account that posted the video has only been around for six months but it already has 18,000 followers. chp won't go into specifics about the investigation but say the video and the account that posted it are a part of prosecuting the people responsible. >> you know, these things when they come up we take very seriously. we respond and follow up on. >> reporter: nick emmons, 7 news, today in new england. >> anchor: forget just

>> anchor: hundreds of homes are destroyed. at least six are dead after a powerful cyclone tears through the fiji islands. most of fiji is without power. residents are being urged to stay put in their homes for the second night in a row. winds reached 177 miles an hour from the cyclone. officials are still assessing the damage.

explosion at a home in oklahoma city. see the destruction left there. two nearby homes were also damaged on saturday. no one was hurt in the cause of the leak is under investigation. >> anchor: a teen on the run after a brutal attack in tennessee was found dead yesterday. officials say the teen escaped a detention facility saturday after he hit a guard several times with the top of a toilet bowl. he took off with the guard's gun. police say the teen was initially arrested for skipping school. his death is being investigated. >> dallas police looking at new evidence in the case against johnny manziel. police say they've surveillance video of an alleged domestic abuse incident between the nfl star and his former girl friend. she claims manziel hit her and dragged her right into a car last month. today police are still combing through evidence. >> up to this point in the investigation, detectives have continued communicating
