tonight with more on those conditions, rebecca? 3 well diana, as you know we saw significant rain today and it's times like this when the staff at phillis wheatley are working over time to keep the kids safe in a building that needs a lot of work. 3 3 3 3 : music and dancing it's a place where kids in the community come to dance... dance... 3 kid with basketballplay sports, and learn. but for the staff here, they say it's all about preparing the children for their future. 3 3 "we provide a home away from home, this is a safe haven, this is a shelter for a lot of these kids, not just to stay out of the streets, but we're building them."but as they work on building these kids into young adults... the building around them is falling apart."structurally the building is pretty solid, however we do have roof issues."and you don't have to look far to see it. these buckets are lined up right as you walk in. in. 3 musicand these are surrounding a room of upcoming event. 3

center of the basketball court has caution signs as kids practice around the buckets and trash cans full of water. water. 3 "my life changed instantly, when i walked through the doors at phillis wheatley." samuel dotson is the artistic director at the center he also attended it when he was younger. he says the dancers are working in tight and precarious quarters because of the buckets. buckets. 3 "you're scared like when you're doing some movements you're going to slip up and fall over water, or a puddle of water is going to fall on your head, it's difficult but we get the job done."just last year the director stood on the roof for 8 days in an effort to collect donations for the center. interviews and everything panthers in the hours before the big game. 3 continuing covering our counties 3 in greenville county- greenville police say- they have located the person ... who a mother thought had approached her child and taken a photo of him in the downtown area. tonight- law enforcement laws. 3 police say a resident called them after- today seeing a man driving an older model van on earle street.authorities say the man matched the description of a person police say- was reported in the north main area earlier this week. turns out...the man works for a newspaper delivery service. the company reportedly ask the driver to take photos to verify the paper has been delivered.authorities say-they verified this with the newspaper agency. 3 in spartanburg county- the coroner has ruled out foul play - after two people were found dead in a home after taking cocaine. cocaine.authorities responded

3 and sports director aaron cheslock of course here with me to talk about how the players are getting ready for sunday's game. 3 when it comes to the panthers, there's no question where the stars align... or rather line up... cam newton on offense, luke kuechly on defense... 3 on the outside they're as different as you could imagine.. the panthers quarterback's very outspoken... the face of the franchise taunts after first downs, dances after touchdowns and takes group pictures while there's still time on the clock.. kuechly on the other hand's soft-spoken, reserved.. but is arguably the best linebacker in the league.. but aside from stellar play, rob rivera says they're more alike than different.. 3 3 3 "i think they're a lot more similar than people realize. they're both very competitive, ultra competitive. they both want to win tremendously. and the truth of the matter is they put themselves last.
