powdersville road.the texas senator has been battling it out in the national polls with trump--taking a 2-point lead over the businessman in the latest nbc news/wall street jounral poll. earlier cruz talked to the greenville county republican women's club where he says he's focused on south carolina and it's role in electing the next president. 3 3 3 27:23-41and this states primary matters. it always has. this states historically ahs had a roll, a powerful role ensuring that the republican nominee is an actual and proven conservative. conservative.cruz did comment on his rise in the polls and why he thinks voters are choosing him over trump.we'll have more on his response coming up. 3 meantime... in the wake of receiving the state's biggest endorsement... endorsement...senator marco rubio is hitting the campaign trail alongside governor nikki haley-- and some other big names in south carolina politics.

3 now to a developing story---- 3 we are learning more now about a police chase that turned fatal this morning in powdersville.including the identity of the man killed.the coroners office says 62 year old stephen burnett died at the scene of the accident at the intersection of hwys 81 and 153. 3 we are also learning who greenville county deputies were chasing and why. why.fox carolina's adrian acosta joins us now live from the newsroom with the answers to those questions. 3 diana and cody this chase ended in anderson county...but it started in greenville county when deputies spotted a man they'd been looking for to serve these warrants on 3 greenville county deputies say this all started just before four this morning when they spotted dexter davon reeves deputies say reeves had a number of outstanding warrants ranging from domestic violence to unlawful neglect of a child but before deputies could get a hold of reeves they say he sped off... they gave chase...and as they tried to

are behind bars -- charged with murder -- after police say a 17-year-old boy was gunned down outside an easley bowling alley. alley.we first brought you word of the deadly shooting as breaking news last night at 10- 10-this afternoon--jamari fair, dennis gibbs, albert taylor, and a 15-year-old -- whose name isn't being released because of his age-- are all charged with murder. murder.police say they were called to tri-city lanes bolwing alley on calhoun memorial highway around 9 last night after reports of a fight. when they arrived...they say they found 17-year-old "kejuan brown" shot in the chest.the teen died on the scene. witnesses at the scene described the car the suspects drove off in--and authorities say pickens county deputies later found the car at a spinx station on s-c 183. 183.police say victim and the suspects knew each other. officials tell us brown was a student with the department of juvenile justice and was not a part of the easley high school student body--but that he has

3 we're back with news you need to know---- 3 an investigation is underway after a deadly crash involving greenville county deputies-- who the sheriff's office says was chasing a suspect at the time! time!the crash happened around 4-30 this morning g on anderson road at highway 153 in anderson county.the sheriff's office says deputies responded to an address on south florida avenue just before that to serve warrants on "dexter reeves."when deputies arrived...they say "reeves" sped off.we're told that's when a chase began along highway 81.when deputies reached the highway 153 intersection...they tell us reeves' crashed into another car...killing 62 year old stephen burnett.investigators
