slager and his attorneys want the documents formally filed so the media and public can see them. but they want the identifications of hte people who wrote letters about slager's character to be removed to respect their privacy. the search is on for a suspect wanted for fraud in richland county. deputies say the suspect stole the victim's credit card informatatn and used it to purchase gifts cards at the target and kohls on two notch road. investigator believe the suspect cloned another card using the victim's credit card information. if you have any information on who thi person is, call crimestoppers at 1-888- crime-sc. governor nikki haley unveiled her executive budget today. it comes in at nearly 7 and a half billion dollars - the largest budget ever proposed for the state. the budget for the 2016- 2017 fiscal year has five main themes of education, public finance, public safety, flood recovery and economic development. it also includes a reduction of the state's debt obligation- dropping about 100 million dollars from where it was the year before, and at

time, doubling the state's available cash reserves. "we don't owe as much and we have more in savings as we need should something happen. after this past year, when you think you have to dip into your reserves. the fact that we didn't dip into our reserves, the fact we were able to pay for the flood tragedy and everything else that we dealt with shows that south carolina is on good standing." and this proposed budget would do something that has not been done since the great recession: fully fund county and municipal governments. america's largest retailer is closing hundreds of stores, including one in our area. wal-mart announced its first ever mass closing today... with 269 stores worldwide closing their doors. 154-of those stores are in the united states including one store on u.s. highway 321 in winnsboro. approximately 10- thousand employees in the u.s. will be impacted by the closing. tuesday night. that's when tens of millions witnessed governor nikki haley deliver the republican response to president obama's state of the union speech. in addition to praising our state's unity in the wake of the charleston church shooting, the governor touched on what she sees as the failures of the obama administration. she also spoke out against the political divisiveness we see on issues such as immigration. she also threw herself into the middle of emerging battle lines within the republican party. when asked if her "angriest voices" comment was in reference to donald trump, the governor did not blink. "he was one of them. yes. he was one. there's other people in the media, there's people in my state, i think we're seeing it across the country. but yes, mr. trump has definitely contributed to what i think is just irresponsible talk." as it has in the past, the "first in the south" primary could be a defining moment in the race to determine the gop's nominee. and with donald trump maintaining a double digit lead own state. haley is the party's rising star. she has placed herself on the side of the gop establishment against firebrands like trump and ted cruz in a political battle that is being waged. it all adds up to an intriguing scenario for voters to consider.

dabo has been named national coach of the year by cbs sports and phil steele. clemson's head man has now been named national coach of the year by ten different organizations..includin g the associated press, espn and the american football coaches association. swinney will be in new haven , connecticut tomorrow to receive the walter camp foundation coach of the year award. swinney guided the tigers to a 14 and one record this season..and a number two national finish behind alabama. the gamecock men will try to start a new winning streak tomorrow when they host the missouri tigers. usc suffered their first loss of the season wednesday when they dropped a 23 point decision at alabama. it was the first "l" for carolina after jumping out to a 15 and oh start. 19th ranked carolina is looking to put that bad night behind them and get back to their winning ways.

focused and positive..you know it's the first loss...oh well..can't win them all..but we had a pretty good practice yesterday..everyone was tuned in and ready to go..so i think we're back on track. our coach always tells us don't let one mistake become two mistakes. so we lost oh welll...we have to bounce back..practice harder...be mentally more focused and go from there. the gamecocks and missouri tigers will tip-off at one p-m saturday at the arena. you can watch the action on the sec network. carolina football coach will muschamp will grab the mike and address the fans during halftime of saturday's basketball game. he'll also introduce his assistant coaches to the crowd...then spend a little time with the media. the carolina panthers are putting on the finishing touches to their preparations for sunday's playoff game with seattle. the cats were back on the field today working on the little details! and the big ones too. when you get to this point of
