we're now hearing that two people have been killed, others have been hurt and storms caused extensive damage outside baton rouge, louisiana this afternoon. in st james parish at an rv park - the manager says two people are deat there and dozens are seriously hurt. emergency responders are on the scene assessing the damage and the injuries. several businesses in ascension parish were damaged due to high winds ripping through walls and roofs.

one state representative predicts a big role for orangeburg county in this week's south carolina primary. representative jerry govan says all county elected officials in orangeburg are democrats, something not commonly seen in the state. he points out the county picked the eventual democratic nominees john kerry in 2004 and barack obama in 2008. more than 1 thousand absentee ballots have already been cast in orangeburg county for the democratic primary. that number is now over 20 thousand statewide. as we head for south carolina's democratic primary, you still have time to vote absentee. you can vote in person at your county voter registration office until 5 p-m on friday. stay with wis as we follow the democratic candidates on the road to the south carolina primary. visit wis-tv dot com for complete coverage of decision 2016. the usc men's basketball team is gearing up for a late season
