combat marine in washington. that marine believes the attack was a hate crime. stephen has the story. chris marquez is here at the va hospital. we send him the video, he watched it and told us he was surprised that the brutality of the assault that has left him angry and disgusted. surveillance video of the attack on a decorated marine. he fell victim to a group of violent young people in d.c.. the blows so severe they left chris marquez with a serious head injury. i have this sharp pain that goes down my head and it hurts to move my head around. >> this is video of the assault which bond outrage. yelledunted him and black lives matter. one

strikes him so hard he falls to the ground. while unconscious, the blows keep coming. of his suspect robs him money, credit cards, and identification. it took until today for marquez to receive more thorough tests at the va hospital. this sense the thief took his id. he hopes the surveillance video will eat to the rest of the suspect before they strike again. suspectsappointed the are wanted for assault and robbery, not a hate crime. he is convinced they targeted and taunted him because of his race. after the test conducted today determined that his head injury is more serious than previously expected, he will remain under observation and possibly more tests. maureen:

concern about the safety of students during this election year is bringing changes to the school calendar. leon: fairfax school is debating a similar measure. us about the kind of reaction you're getting from parents tonight. seems like after giving it some thought, parents are on board with the eye -- with the idea. the fairfax county school board voted to have a two hour delay on super tuesday but they will be voting on the issues again tonight after being urged by the board of supervisors and the office of elections to close on primary day and now it looks like that is exactly what will happen. expected voter turnout on primary day in virginia may be best described with a favorite word of republican front runner donald trump. >> i think it's going to be huge. she says

say they support strong immigration policies. maureen: two men facing murder aarges, accused of killing man from leesburg. he was found shot to death in upper marlboro on saturday. in 2010 he was sentenced to 12 years in prison. he was released for years later after testifying at a murder trial. harford county residents are again honoring a deputy killed in the line of duty. he and fellow deputy patrick bailey were killed after responding to a call last week at a restaurant. he was laid to rest yesterday. in the case was killed in a shootout. 6:00, a d.c. streetcar will finally be caring its first passengers. see how that community is reacting.

leon: the d.c. mayor began the demolition of parts of saint elizabeth's hospital in southeast washington. the old building being raised to make way for new arena and practice facility for the wizards. hundreds of apartments and townhomes are planned for that area. lawmakers onland to shutdown speed and red light cameras in their state. health committee held a hearing today in annapolis. witnesses included several drivers who have been caught by those cameras. they testified the cameras have more to do with generating revenue and less to do with safety. one witness claimed the cameras are used for racial profiling because they are located in minority neighborhoods. much, of their pets so the idea of putting them in the ca
