in. we'll share some of your comments later this morning. 3 3 3 continuing coverage this morning of the federal lawsuit over north carolina's voter i-d law. closing arguments have wrapped up in winston salem, but there is no timeline on when the judge will make a ruling. the law requires voters to show a photo i-d in order to cast a ballot. it will be used for the first time during the march 15th primary. the u-s justice department and the n-double a-c-p say it discriminates against minorities. supporters say it will curb voter fraud. 3 3 3 happening today, the teen accused of firing shots that put three henderson county schools on lockdown is expected in court. last thursday, deputies say a 17-year-old fired shots at a vehicle on madison claire avenue in east flat rock. he is charged with felony discharging a weapon. right now, he is out on a bond of two-thousand dollars. 3 3 also happening today... the woman accused of killing a wlos employee is expected to be in court. robin richardson is charged with first degree

back in december, warrants state that richardson shot fry, claiming fry had assaulted her. she remains in jail without bond. 3 3 a burke county couple is in jail this morning... accused of abusing their three-month- old twin sons. investigators say both babies have traumatic brain injuries. deputies say nicholas clark, the babies father, called 9-1-1 sunday from their home. when paramedics arrived, they performed c-p-r on one of the three month old babies. neighbors are in disbelief over the allegations and arrests. 3 "they both seem to be so crazy about those kids. you never know. it's a shock." the twins were transported to a children's hospital in winston salem. one baby is listed in critical condition while the other is stable. 3 3 3 happening today, buncombe county commissioners are set to vote on a economic incentive for a local brewery. hi-wire brewing says local leaders called them when they heard the craft brewer was

commissioners offered a 22 thousand dollar taxpayer incentive to keep the new facility - and any new jobs - in the area the two-point- five million dollar hi-wire location opened last fall in biltmore village. 3 3 the henderson county board of commissioners unanimously approved an incentives package for a new manufacturing plant. the package is worth 51- thousand dollars, that would be paid over 5 years. the plant would create 26 new jobs at a salary that's above the average wage in henderson county. no word yet on which company would build the plant or where it would be located. 3 3 3 today is groundhog day! here in asheville, some rely on "nibbles the groundhog" to predict if we will see an early spring or more winter. news 13's lauren brigman joins us live from the w-n-c nature center in asheville. lauren, nibbles is getting ready for her big debut later today?3 3

3 asheville regional airport is set for a major parking upgrade of a five-story garage, right across from the terminal. it will be built where the main lot is located now... and will have 13- hundred spaces. when it is complete, there will be a total of 25-hundred parking spots at the airport. travelers say the option of close-and-covered parking is a welcome convenience. 3 1644 "i think it'll be great,

snow off of cars and make it easier to get in and out." 1650 about 300 spaces will be lost during construction, but a nearby employee lot has already been converted to help cover that. work is expected to start in august... with completion in late summer, 20- 17. officials say the cost may be almost 20-million- dollars... paid for with airport funds. 3 3 leaders in haywood county are discussing a moratorium on outdoor shooting ranges. this follows plans for an indoor shooting range in the francis farm community near waynesville. there are no land-use regulations that would prevent it. so now some residents are worried that an outdoor range could follow. others say that would be a waste of time and tax dollars. 3 we have no proposal at this time for an outdoor shooting range. and we are expending the resources of the county on studying whether or not we need to regulate outdoor ranges. commissioners will address the issue again at a 3 3 nearly two-thirds of south
