3 the sub-freezing temperatures have searchers frantically looking for a haywood county man who went missing this week. 57-year-old scott turner's pick up truck was found in oconee county on tuesday. he was last seen in canton the day before at the evergreen paper plant where he works. turner's family and more than 60 searchers are now looking for him in south carolina. the search is in the chattooga river area. 3 i hope that they'll find him. this cold weather. it's terrible ya know. but like i said, our prayers are with him and i like i said they're outstanding folks.3 turner is six feet tall, 205 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. if you have any information, call the haywood county sheriff's office. 3 3 3 3 as primary season moves into full swing, the democratic
preparing to face-off tonight. as kim hutcherson reports, bernie sanders and hillary clinton will make their cases before voters in wisconsin. 3 democratic presidential candidates hillary clinton and bernie sanders will battle it out thursday night in milwaukee at the pbs democratic debate.despite her recent new hampshire primary loss, clinton picked up a key endorsement wednesday:(rep. hakeem jeffries/congressional black caucus pac board member-- alt font--(d) new york)"the members of the congressional black caucus across many different generations - members in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s have collectively concluded that hillary clinton is the right person for the job."bernie sanders met wednesday with reverend al sharpton.they talked for about 20 minutes, but sharpton did not extend his endorsement.a recent nbc- wall street journal-marist poll showed sanders with only 17-percent support among african americans in south carolina ... compared with 74-percent support for clinton. political analyst michael nutter explained.(michael nutter/political analyst--alt font--fmr. philadelphia mayor) "because the relationships are so long-standing. they're so deep. they're real. there are

carolina house, district 116. that includes most of western buncombe county from arden to enka- candler and leicester. the event is tonight from 6 to 8:30 at the holiday inn west on smokey park highway in asheville. tuner is running unopposed in the democratic primary and will face republican kay olsen in the general election in november. 3 3 3 the u-s supreme court will not take any action on a redistricting appeal... until at least next week. last friday a federal court ruled north carolina's first and 12th congressional districts
because race played a large factor in their creation. the court ordered the maps for those two districts must be redrawn by next week. as we have reported, the state has appealed to the high court, but chief justice john roberts gave lawyers on the other side until next tuesday to respond. 3 congressman mark meadows is responding to the redistricting crisis. that's because of the concern that the federal ruling
could disrupt north carolina's primary vote. 3 8:53 as far as wnc it won't have a great impact. our focus is on all 750 thousand people we represent regardless of party, but certainly it could push some of those primaries back if there is not a stay and that will affect some of the primaries. not as much in the asheville area but certainly if you go further east. 3 9:19 you can watch the entire mark meadows interview on wlos-dot-com. it's under the connect to congress section.

foodborne or transmitted person-to-person. 3 the luxor hotel and casino is back to normal after a hazardous material scare yesterday morning. a hotel attendant found an unknown substance in an empty hotel room, prompting firefighters to respond. 54 guests were evacuated during the investigation. investigators later deemed the substance non-hazardous. no one was hurt. 3 3 3 big changes are coming to youtube. coming up ... how the internet video sharing service plans to compete with the big boys of streaming. 3
