3 happening 3 today, getting your questions answered about the lower richland sewer project. d-hec is having a meeting and public hearing today. leaders will accept written comments from people who have questions or concerns about the project. the meeting starts at 6:30 at hopkins park. the last day to submit written comments is march 9. 3 the state library wants to help you learn more about issues in the general assembly. the state library is a legislation resources webinar. the goal is to explain resources on the south carolina statehouse and south carolina counties websites.

front runner... donald trump. trump's big win here in south carolina saturday night ... brings him even closer to his party's nomination.we'll examine what's next for the g-o-p in a few minutes.... other side... of the political aisle. 3 democratic presidential and bernie sanders... are winding down after saturday's nevada caucus... and focusing their attention on the primary here in the palmetto state. we're just five days away from democratic primary day. news 19's loren thomas has more on what's to come on saturday. 3 nat: hilary cheersafter a big night in nevada hillary clinton is looking for another win over bernie sanders here in south carolina, but jamie harrison, chairman of the south carolina democratic party says it's not going to be such an easy win."secretary clinton prevailed. she now comes into south carolina with some momentum. the polls in the state indicate that she has the lead here. so there's a lot of hard work that has to happen on both sides."harrison says both clinton and sanders have to focus on the african american vote for this primary. "in 2008, african americans made up 55% of the vote in the

up 61% of the vote in the democratic primary. so that tells you that african american women are particularly the key demographic that both campaigns have to focus on." especially african american women ages 45 and above, where sanders has a stronger focus on young voters. 3 todd shaw, associate professor of political science and african american studies at usc says bernie sanders still has to let voters know who he is and what he's all about. "bernies is still trying to establish himself. convince african american voters this gentleman from a state that's 95% white in terms of the electorate he represents can represent us or represent me in terms of what african americans are asking. so i think that's the factor that's weighing on bernie sanders in terms of his connection in the african american community. although i think he sure is trying hard."3 shaw says clinton's powerful endorsements can also make it difficult for sanders to get

but we'll just have to see how primary unfolds come february columbia, loren thomas news 19 wltx. 3 we can expect to see more of bernie sanders and hilary clinton this week... as they continue to campaign in south carolina before the primary. today...clinton will continue her breaking down barriers forum... in columbia with an event at the central baptist church on clement road at 6:15... doors open at 4:45. both candidates hit the talk show circuit yesterday. clinton says even after saturday's win ... the close finish proves she still needs to show *why she's the best choice for the democrats.i know that i have to make my case, i have to demonstrate what i've achieved, i have to really make clear, look we want to make progress in our country, we want to make a real difference in people's lives, that's what i've always been about, that's what i would do as president.

3 in richland county...deputies continue to investigate a shooting from over the weekend. the say they responded to a shots fired

darrell's place ... that's a bar at 17-27 percival road... near i-77.deputies say they found a victim shot in the lower body..that person was taken to the hospital.his conidition is unknown at this time.investigators say he was shot as he came out of the bar. if you have any information that could help ... please call crimestoppers at 1-triple-8-crime-s-c. 3 3 a kershaw county man charged in the shooting death of a teenager - is now out on bond. he's 49 year old jim methe. methe is charged with voluntary manslaughter after kershaw county deputies say he shot 17-year-old brandon spencer two weekends ago. methe told investigators that he shot spencer after seeing the teen and another person stealing items from his truck. methe's bond was set for $200 thousand dollars. 3 in columbia...authorities continue to look for two men they say fired shots in columbiana mall saturday night columbia police chief... skip holbrook... says the whole thing started with a fist fight around 7pm. eventually
