good evening, i'm jack miller. stephanie/2shot: and i'm stephanie angleson. we're bringing you live coverage from across the state. with live local coverage from with live local coverage from now until the voting is done ...and the winners are declared. jack: iowan's choices tonight are important because it shows how the candidates are faring in the race so far. jack: local 5's paul ciccinii (chuh-kee'-nee ) is live from drake university with more, paul? paul/live: we're on the campus of drake university where hillary rodham clinton will be awaiting results. t his afternoon, we spoke with undecided caucus goers about the issues that are them and what supporting a candidate : tyler mccubbin - teacher, woodward academy (facetime courtesy?) 2:53 what i want to hear from them are what measures are they going to take on a a positive impact on changing the climate inside of high schools, middle schools, even elementary schools today to prevent bullying so we don't have the issues we are facing today. teacher tyler mccubbin will caucus with democrats, but told us over facetime he's split between hillary clinton and bernie sanders. tyler mccubbin - teacher, woodward academy (facetime

denied resources and when we have to think about how we as teachers bring that into our classrooms that affects our budget on a personal level and when we try to bring those in and we cannot afford them, that's a part where it hits me the same goes for michele hawn, a member of afscme. michele hawn - undecided voter "i hear a lot of 'when i go to washington, this is what i'm going to do.' as evidenced by obama when he went to washington he made a lot of promises too and you know what? you can only do what congress lets you do." robby mook - clinton national campaign manager "other candidates have plans that sound good on paper - they're just never gonna get done. that's the difference in this race." hillary clinton's national campaign chair robby mook says his candidate has the experience to get results. robby mook - clinton national campaign manager "she has a track record of working across the aisle on the international stage, the domestic stage paul: again, caucus goers will meet at 7 o'clock tonight to decide who they will be supporting. we'll be inside the olmstead center throughout the night awaiting those results with the hillary rodham clinton camp.

your local election headquarters, i'm paul cicchini. jack: the latest iowa poll from the des moines register sets the scene for a potentially tight race at the top on both sides. for the democrats, hillary clinton has a slim three point lead over bernie sanders in the final des moines register poll. it came out saturday. and on the republican side, donald trump is in the lead by five percentage points over ted cruz at 28 percent support. then, marco rubio sits in third at 15 percent. jack: republican front-runner donald trump is in west des moines tonight for a gathering with caucus- goers. his entire family is in the hawkeye state, and has been campaigning for him over the last several days. local 5's elias johnson is at the hotel where trump plans to celebrate later tonight, elias? elias: stephanie:

evening, but traveling should not be goers. nw iowa may showers later tonight metro should not see any snow until well after midnight. it looks like our best chance for snow in the metro will be from 3 am to about 9 am tuesday. this is when we could have some heavy, wet snow falling with several inches accumulating very quickly. because our temperatures will be above freezing during this event, i think we are looking at 3-6" possible in polk

amounts north and west of here and and east. in fact, se iowa will mainly see just rain in the morning and then some afternoon sun tuesday with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. meanwhile, the worst of this storm will impact northwestern iowa where a blizzard warning is posted. snowfall of 6-12" is likely along with strong ne winds of 15- 30+ mph throughout tuesday. the snowfall will be tapering off by noon in the metro tuesday, but will continue to fall across northern iowa into the afternoon. there could be a few wrap around rain/snow showers

news to talk about and some bad news to talk about as far as the ap poll. well this week-- a crazy streak came to an end-- the duke blue devils are out of the ap poll after 167 straight weeks being in the top 25. but iowa fans and iowa state fans can be happy as their teams remain in the national spotlight. iowa drops two spots after their loss to maryland to number 5. oklahoma stays on top. north carolina in second. nova third. xavier in at 6. kansas and texas a and m the two teams iowa state played last week there at 7 and 8. speaking of iowa state they move up a spot to number 13. tomorrow, the cyclones return home to hilton to resume big 12 play versus #14 west virginia. isu knows it needs to bounce back after their loss to a&m. jordan furbee has more from ames... "aggies just dominated these last four minutes. it was a close game all the way thru until the end." a 16-4 run to end the game ultimately doomed iowa state saturday in the big 12-
