fog with david and karen. we're off to a damp and foggy start, the main rain is gone, but a couple of sprinkles and showers are trying to push toward east and northeast. where you don't see the green some of the fog could be putting drizzle on your windshield. dense fog advisory we'll show you that in a second. the clouds will hang tough today we'll have sunny breaks, but a cloud start. dense fog advisory until 7:00 a.m. the big concern is the northern and western suburbs where we have most of the melting snow yesterday and where some of that residual fog is hanging in there. 53 degrees and mild as you head outside in philadelphia. upper 30s in i in allentown. i-95 corridor down to the shore light winds for the most part and fairly mild. we'll stay on or about 50 degrees between 6 and

academy, you can see the flashing lights, hazards are still on. i-95 northbound at the vine we had an early morning accident that has cleared. we have flooding in mercer county they have shut down quaker road between province lane and mercer. stick to princeton pike. we're beginning with an update on breaking news that we've been following within the last 30 minutes a gas leak that forced evacuations overnight that has been fixed. let's head over to annie mccormick live where this is going on. 7200 block of north 21st street in west oak lane. good morning, tam, cruise have made a lot of progress out here since residents woke up to the banging on the door in the middle of the night who had to evacuate because of a gas leak.

search homes were affected ten people but now almost everyone is back home we are told because they have this under control. now 4-inch broken main was found at 7219 north 21st street in the sidewalk and the lawn. you can take a look at the video we shot earlier today. fire department and pgw and peco responded. meters detected high leaves of natural gas. they had to locate the source. neighbors who were asleep and woken up by police, the smell was be obvious when they evacuated. the fire department is crediting the person who noticed the smell and called it in. once i got out of the house i smelled the strong smell of gas, it was nerve wracking. at this time everything worked out pretty good. nobody was hurt. the main was capped and we're going to take some readings to make sure there's no natural gas

in the homes. everybody will be allowed to go back in. >> reporter: and back out hear live, you can see the crews are out there. everyone is allowed back in their homes, except for one home, but it should not be much longer until they are allowed back in, they are checking the home making sure sure the readings are okay and airing it out. one person was taken away on a stretcher they felt dizzy and nauseous and expected to be okay. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." thank you for that annie. >> we're following this developing story in philadelphia's frankford section, police are looking for a shooter who burst through an unlocked door at a home and shot a man inside the home. this happened 1800 block of philmore street. 12 people including four young children were home at the time during the shooting. we'll have a live report coming up at 6:00 a.m. just about 5:35.

two tires on a plane deflated after landing at lehigh valley international airport. legionair flight 624 stopped on the runway. all 152 passengers were bussed to the terminal. nobody was hurt, it's unclear why the tires went flat. passengers received 100-dollar voucher for the inconvenience. a cumberland county teacher is due in court today on child porn charges. 52-year-old is a biology teacher in bridgeton. he used a cloud cover to up load photos and videos showing children engaging in sexual acts. he spent the knight in the burlington county jail. the search is on for a hit-and-run driver who hit a mother and two young children in south philadelphia. a red honda accord hit the

are looking at or trying to look at, anyway, the airport. it looks like there's a little bit of fog locally, but the biggest concern is in the northern and western suburbs. temperature mild, 53 degrees, winds are light out of the west at 7. if we get the winds up a little bit we'll break up the fog. we're expecting the fog to be an issue until 7 or 8:00 a.m. the dozens fog advisory is -- dense fog advisory is until 7:00 a.m. lower visibilities in trenton and allentown. lancaster is improving a little bit as is reading. if you're driving around this morning you encounter the dense stuff slow it down keep the high beams off. the rain is departing from last night. out to the west, the clouds get thinner. i think we'll wind up mostly cloudy throughout the day.

8:00 a.m., 50. 10:00 a.m., 49. 51 degrees by noon. looks like by 3:00 p.m. we have a shot of 56 degrees before falling back to the low 50s by 5:00 p.m. high temperatures across the region 56 in philadelphia. 352 in allentown and 58 down the shore in cape may. future tracker 6 shows that a coastal feature that looked like it was not going to bother us and stay off the shore looks like it will be close enough to have a little bit of impact on the region over toward the coast later tonight with light rain and overnight at 4:00 a.m. with perhaps steadier rain pushing in past atlantic city. some of this might make it all the way up to philadelphia. the issue, though, by 6:00 or 7:00 a.m., colder air will come in and change this over to wet snow. best chance over by the coast. we're not looking at a big impact. it's a minor situation with wet snow small accumulations maybe an inch or two, because it's so

is 35:45, we have fog out there, making it difficult to see i-95 penns landing. let's go over to karen rogers it's a morning where it can get busy for you. >> reporter: the roads are damp and areas of fog, a kind of a bad combination. bucks county, doylestown road we have traffic moving by, it's not so foggy people are not a able to see, slow it down and use caution. i think it will get worse as more people get on the roads. we've dropped with our visibility. philadelphia international half mile visibility. this morning we started off at 4 miles per hour. the fog has drifted .3 trenton.
