murphy who isinne pig. >> reporter: we're starting to see holes open up in the clouds a bit. 36 degrees right now, though in philadelphia. 31 in allentown. we have slipped below the freezing mark there, and pretty much the same story in trenton reading and lancaster. 35 in millville. with winds streaking in from the west it feeling like 25 degrees in philadelphia. good to have the extra gear. clouds start out thinning out quickly and we'll wind up with lots of sun, 31 degrees at 1:00 p.m. high of 42 degrees, with the winds gusting up to 0 miles per hour at times the temperatures will feel like the 30s and 20s most of the way. things improve especially on sunday, i'll have the details
coming up. >> reporter: this is the schuylkill expressway past 202, looking good. eastbound traffic heading toward gulph mills, building volume, no big delays on the schuylkill expressway. balligomingo road blocked at trinity road because of debris on the roads. stick to 320. in germantown we're talking about the fire, cheltenham avenue is blocked at pulaski avenue. this is westbound traffic heading toward the schuylkill expressway, eastbound looking good, no overnight construction no big problems right there. we have an accident involving an overturned vehicle in ocean county, route 9 is blocked at massestown road. fire crews police crews out there, stick to the parkway instead of route 9 this morning. we are starting with breaking news, smoke and flames damaged a house in philadelphia's port richmond section. fire crews arrived to find heavy
smoke pouring from the house on almond street at 4:15. everybody got out safely there were no reports of injuries. we turn to breaking news, a massive fire burned a restaurant in germantown section. philadelphia firefighters battled the blaze at the house of jin restaurant. we'll take you to a chopper 6 view that just arrived over the scene. you can see the firefighters still on the scene. it's a smoked out blackened shell of what has been a mainstay in the neighborhood. let's go to our ground crew, annie mccormick with a live report. >> reporter: you can see firefighters from chopper 6 hd are out there, you can see them behind me, as well. shooting water from ladder trucks to douse the hot spots. looks like they are close to wrapping up here, it's been several hours since they got the fire under control. take a look at this video. when fire crews arrived at at te
house of jin restaurant, this is how intense the flames were. the popular restaurant was consumed in flames, the flames moved quickly and spreading to the roof. it broke out before 1:00 a.m. and it took an hour to get it under control. i appears that other businesses near the house of jin restaurant were not damaged, but the restaurant was destroyed. the other than said he was too shaken to speak to us on camera. he told us he had been in business 18 years. the strawnlt -- restaurant was closed at the time, there it ist known if there were employees inside. the fire marshal said it's too early to discuss a cause and they are still investigating. reporting live in germantown, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." new this morning, a gunman killed three people in a series of shootings that ended at a lawn care company in kansas.
14 other people were injured. cedric ford was killed in a shootout with police. they say they have an idea on the motive and insist it is not connected to terrorism. police remained in a standoff with the gunman's roommate after the gunman was killed. spca believes i want has uncovered a dog fighting operation in the germantown section of the city. officials found ten dead pitbulls and seven dead pitbulls across the in a vacant home across the street. authorities have yet to identify any suspects. donald trump recently noted that marco rubio hadn't said anything bad about him and he wondered if that would change. he need not wonder any more. they debated in houston and

the temperatures. we have windchills in the low to mid 20s across the region. a lot of cloud cover early, you can see the breaks are beginning to open up. we expect evaporation once the sun gets up over the horizon. lehigh valley, sunny, windy and cold, 38 is the high, feeling like the 20s in the lehigh valley. down the shore, we'll get up to 42 for the high, lots of sun. winds, windchills around the freezing mark. in philadelphia we'll go for a high of 42. i don't expect windchills to be better than 30 this afternoon and we'll be in the 20s, windchill wise most of the day. look at the wind gusts, despite sunshine and 42, gusts as high as 35 miles per hour. maybe tree branches coming down with the gusts. if you're headings out on the town -- if you're heading out on the town, winds will ease during the nighttime period.

we have a vehicle that ran off the roadway, there's emergency, ambulance, police, debris in the center lane. i-95 southbound approaching woodhaven road expect the delays coming off south street. this is another problem, look at the backup here, i-95 at girard of we have police on the scene. i was showing you the shot before they arrived. the vehicle totally facing the wrong way driving the wrong way on i-95. blocking the left lane at this point. this is at girard, we see police on the scene. this is i-95 northbound jammed from the vine street to girard. you see everyone trying to get over 0 to the two right lanes with the left lane blocked. this is i-95 at girard, northbound vehicle facing the wrong way. the other problem i-95 southbound approaching woodhaven road. two problems on i-95. we have another issue. this is a downed pole. i talked to police in chester,
delaware county. incinerator road. the pole is down. they are waiting for peco. we have traffic lights that are shut down because of a power outage, along concord road. that's a problem in delaware county with the traffic lights not working with the downed pole. i want to take you to chopper 6 live on the scene, breaking news right now, look at the tractor-trailer on its side. half up a ramp, this is a mess, it's blocking the ramp from i-78 westbound right now. that ramp is blocked as you head toward 309 southbound. you've got to use the westbound ramp to lehigh street instead. i talked to the police, they said remarkable no injuries. they have a heavy-duty tow truck on scene. they are blocking the ranch in you meaner -- ramp, in upper salken township. lots of problem in the morning
commute. more breaking news from the city's germantown neighborhood. firefighters spent hours battling a raging restaurant fire. annie mccormick is live at the house of jin restaurant or what's left of it. >> reporter: matt, fire crews are wrapping up hours after they got the fire under control. take a look at the video. when the fire crews arrived at the restaurant, the house of jin, this is how intense the flames were. the popular chinese restaurant was consumed by the flames. they moved quickly spreading to the roof. fire crews say it broke out before 1:00 a.m., it took more than an hour to get it under control. i appears other businesses nearby are not heavily damaged. the owner said he was too shaken to speak to us on camera. he told us he has been in business for 18 years.
there are no injuries reported. it is not clear if there were any employees inside, but the restaurant was not open. back out here live you can see the fire crews wrapping up pulling up the hoses. the fire marshal has been on the scene all morning said it's too early to discuss a cause. the fire ramos under investigation. reporting live in germantown, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." new this morning, a mother called police on one of her own sons when a family dispute led to gunfire. the woman told police one shot the other. it happened on the 3100 block of woodhaven road in northeast philadelphia late last night. one man is in critical condition from the gunshot wound to the chest. his brother is under arrest. police are questioning a third family member. we are learning about the man who brought blood and carnage to his co-workers. the shooting was ended only when police got the drop on him killing the shooter. katherine scott is live in the
satellite center sounds like he had a crazed night and dangerous event. >> reporter: authorities say i shot several people as he drove through town before he stormed the factory. in the end three co-workers were killed. 14 people were wounded, ten of them critically. the gun was strapped to him, he was ready to go. >> reporter: this co-worker was outside excel industries when he saw theman pull up to the lawnmower company. cedric ford is previously of florida. his past arrests include burglary and battery. he fired a few shots outside before he went in. >> reporter: starting around 5:00 p.m., ford drove through town firing shots at people armed with a pistol and assault rifle. in all, authorities say he killed three people and wounded 14 before shot dead by an
officer. co-workers didn't see this coming. talked to me as we were walking in to clock in. he was a nice guy, i worked with him on second shift. we hung out. >> reporter: investigators have not discussed a motive, but they said there were several things that could have triggered the individual. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." thank you for that. and more than 200 people may have been composed -- exposed to hiv or hepatitis, patients at shore hospital in somers point may have come in contact with blood of a a former farm i -- pharmacist who stole morphine from the hospital and replaced it with saline between september 14 and december 20. a man knocked on the window of officer michael edwards

outside how locked down the camera is. it's doing a jiggle out in center city looking toward northeast philadelphia and the ben franklin bridge. winds are a factor and so is the temperature. currently in philadelphia, the numbers dipped to 36 degrees. the winds are running west/northwesterly at 24 miles per hour then giving us a windchill of 25 degrees. we have cloud cover north of philadelphia. we expect this to continue to evaporate and break up. we should through most of the day wind up with mostly sunny skies. it's going to be chilly, though. 32 degrees by 8:00. 34 by 10:00 a.m. 37 by noon. the high at 3:00 p.m. is 42. with winds blustery it will feel chillier than that. high temperatures in allentown, 38. high of 39 in reading. 42 in wilmington, 42 in millville. expect to get to 44 in cape may. with the winds strong out of the

i-95 we've got a couple of problems, i-95 southbound approaching woodhaven road. when the accident first started we thought there were ten vehicles, but several were stopping to hatter. it's four vehicles involved with the accident. one drove off the roadway, that's where we see police and emergency workers here and drove off the roadway. they are blocking the right lane. one is on the tow truck. we have penndot with another vehicle partially blocking the left lane here. i-95 southbound approaching woodhaven road. we noted debris on the roadway with this, as well. a messy accident on i-95 southbound expect the delays coming south of street road. here's another problem we've switch to i-95 at girard, this was an accident where a vehicle was facing the wrong way, an accident with a vehicle that spun around facing the wrong way blocking the left lane on i-95 northbound at girard, now they
have pushed the accident off to the side. we're seeing northbound delay from vine to girard on i-95. an accident southbound, an accident northbound. a mess on i-95. this is in chester township, we've got a downed pole i talked to police we're waiting for peco to come and deal with it. incinerator road at concord road is blocked. we have traffic lights that are not working because of this. this is creating a power outage. be wasteful as you head there. chopper 6 was over head, lehigh county upper salken township. look at this tractor-trailer. i would say it's on its side, almost flipped upside down down, heavy duty tow truck on the scene. this is creating a problem blocking the ramble from i-78 westbound to 309 southbound. use the westbound ramp to lehigh street.
a mess of an accident. wind gusts of 32-mile an hour, you've got debris on the roads. what a friday. an emergency landing in guam, an asia pacific airline pilot guided this plane to safety with just the rear wheels on. three people were on board an nobody was hurt. the other than of a coffee shop in germantown section has come up with a different way to confront the bandit that is stealing from him. he has a message for the thieves. he wrote a note and offered a job at the construction site and attached a 20-dollar bill to the letter. i let them know there's a real person on the other side of what they are doing.
