go from mostly cloudy skies to mostly sunny skies. we'll go with the idea of sun at times and maybe sun mixing with clouds at times. 54 degrees in philadelphia. a little bit cool to saturday out. on the bus stop this morning, mainly cloudy skies and sunny breaks possible. a spotty shower in south jersey an delaware, 55 to 56 range of temperatures between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. after that we'll get nice today. we're transitioning to partly sunny skies through most of the day, 67 by 11:00 a.m., 70 by 1:00 p.m. this afternoon really looks nice, high of 74 degrees, kind of late in the game. i could see us getting there around 4:00 p.m. a spotty instability shower here or there. generally speaking a nice day ahead. most of you will stay dry. pollen count is in the medium high range. it is expected to drop saturday and sunday because of the arrival of rain. i'll have more on what's coming

it crashed in the mediterranean sea. 66 people were on board. katherine scott is live in the satellite center gathering updates on why the plane went down. >> reporter: officials say the plane crashed in the mediterranean sea. the search is underway near the greek island of car egyps 804 took off from charles de gaulle paris bound for cairo. it was flying at 37,000 feet 2:45 a.m. when it disappeared off the ray dare. crisis centers have been set up for family members. these are the images coming out of charles de gaulle airport. there was no distress call from the pilot. we're hearing conflicting information about whether indeed there was a signal picked up from the plane after it vanished

from the radar. the airline said there was, but the egyptian military said no such signal was received. as for who was on board, the plane had 56 passengers and ten cabin crew members. egypt air released the passengers nationalities, 30 egyptian, 15 french, one canadian and none listed as american. greek air traffic court reporters spoke to pilots who didn't mention any problem. officials are not ruling anything out. the focus is find the plane and see if there are any survivors and try to recover the plane's black box, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." we'll check in with you in a half-hour. this morning, two philadelphia housing police officers were shaken up in a crash. the cruiser was involved in a minor collision in kensington at 1:00 a.m. the driver of the other vehicle

was not hurt. we're learning about a crash in south jersey that closed a busy highway for five hours, the three car pileup happened on route 70 at 5:30 p.m. three people in the light does an was flown to the hospital where injuries. two other victims are expected to recover. medford place are determining whether any drivers will face charges. happening today it is the first court hearing for they don't of the delaware teens after their classmate died after a fight in the school bathroom. "action news" reporter, annie mccormick is live outside a family court in wilmington with the latest on what to expect today. good morning, annie. >> reporter: good morning, tam, two of the three girls charged in connection with amy joyner-francis' death. we are not naming them because they are jiewrvel -- juveniles.

they face the lessor charges in the case with third degree criminal conspiracy. three classmates planned a confrontation against amy joyner-francis at howard high school of technology in wilmington. amy was rushed to the hospital where she died. she died of a long-standing heart condition triggered by the assault. but the victim's family said several cartiologist said the defect should not have caused sudden death. the family is calling for a second autopsy and they want more severe charges against the girls. and so now we're going to blame her death on the heart condition when it was a school fight that led to her death. is to it was the civil assault that led to had your death, not her heart condition. the family wants to make sure that the people have clarity about this.

and both of the girls expected to appear at family court are out on bail. basedbased on the medical examis report only one girl was charged with criminal homicide reportedly the only one to hit amy joyner-francis. she does not appear in court today, however. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." a former consultant to the representative of chaka fattah took to the stand for the prosecution today. today the congressman's defense team team will cross-examine thomas windenfield. fattah claimed to have no idea that he was paying off an illegal loan and had no idea it was happening. donald trump will join chris christie for a fundraiser in new jersey.

it will pay off the campaign debt of christie's unsuccessful presidential bid. it will be the first time trump will raise money as the presumptive nominee. there is growing concern among leading democrats that a division within their party is getting worse. bernie sanders is pressing on even as hillary clinton inches closer to a nomination. a violent outbreak by bernie sanders supporters has people worried about the dnc in philadelphia. it worries me a great deal, i don't want to go back to the 68 convention. i worry about what it does to the electorate as a whole. he should, too. the 1968 democratic convention in chicago was marred by riots.

five groups supporting bernie sanders have filed permanent applications to protest near the wells fargo center where the protest will be held. sanders himself has secured a permit to do so. he might be out there protesting himself. oh, my goodness. it would be interesting to see a day without rain. >> reporter: we're not quite there. while most of the region is drying out. there are sprinkles and showers in south jersey mainly. a couple of of bits and recipes of precipitation trying to work through and out of delaware at this point. maybe for another hour sore we're dealing with this, but it's light on and off precipitation, it's not going to be the order of the day. as we look outside we have cloudy skies, some breaks starting to open up over the commodor barry bridge linking south jersey with chester and we're going to see more and more that have sunshine as we go through the morning and afternoon. 54 degrees is the temperature. winds are light out of the northeast at 3 miles per hour.

as we are looking at a bright day, high of 76 degrees, lots of sunshine, clouds, high pressure insuring a nice one for us. unfortunately on saturday there's an area of low pressure that's going to be passing us by to the south, most of the models are suggesting this will be close enough not only make it cloudy and damp, but give us periods of rain at times that could be a soaking rain. saturday, cloudy skies and periods of rain all the way. sunday there can be a lingering thunderstorm around. i know it's been kind of dreary lately, looking ahead we're 11 days 'from memorial day and things are looking warmer next week approaching the weekend. summer is 32 degrees away, the 4th of july 46, that last one depresses me, because it doesn't seem like it's that far away. partly sunny and warm 76 degrees, great for the union and phillies at night. saturday, cloudy and rainy, 64.

better than yesterday, tam. new this morning, a florida woman was seriously hurt when a police cruiser plowed into her car. red light cameras recorded the collision last week. the officer was speeding responding to a robbery call and ran through the light and t-boned the vehicle. the victim has two bandaged hands and doesn't know when she'll be able to work again. she plans to file a lawsuit. naacp is asking the justice department to review a deadly police shooting in delaware. jeremy mcdoll was in a wheelchair when he was shot. police he was reaching for a gun in his pants. the activists demand that the

over breaking news coming from fairmont park kelly drive near sedgely drive. take a look at the maroon suv with the police car next to it and tow trucks around it. about a half-hour ago, that car for some reason had an accident involving i felt, flipped over, the driver crawled out of the vehicle and checked out at the scene and doing okay. as you can see they have the vehicle back up right, but karen is telling us it's causing a delay on kelly drive. if this is your route you may want to go over to king drive instead. pennsylvania governor tom wolf will sign a measure expanding the state's ignition lock law. the measure passed unanimously yesterday, under the bill, the first time convicted illegal alcohol driver could drive with
