around, nice to see you matt. we have rain on radar out by harrisburg and west of reading and the lehigh valley and clipping areas north of trenton. looks like a lot of this will fall a part before it heads to philadelphia, but if you happen to see some of that there it is, it's not a whole lot. we expect to transition to mostly sunny skies. 57 degrees in philadelphia. down to 52 in allentown. 54 in reading. 55 in wilmington, 55 in trenton. 61 in cape may. that's a little bit breezy out there, the wind currently in philadelphia at 15 miles per hour. a little less up to the north, but generally windier than many mornings last week. as we roll through the afternoon it will feel like autumn starting today. 54 degrees, 10:00 a.m., 60 by noon. 4:00 p.m., 64 degrees that's the
high. it will be a blustery windy day, there's colder air coming in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. a widespread frost is possible tuesday night, that means it will be chilly on the backup wednesday morning. >> it's that time of the year, though, we don't want the trick or treaters to be out in their short sleeved costumes. good morning everybody, we're along the schuylkill expressway, looking good, no issues, eastbound headlights coming off 202 off the eastbound schuylkill expressway toward gulph mills. the boulevard some of the overhead lights are out. we can see that as we look at the boulevard extension twin bridges. otherwise no major issues on the boulevard or route 1. vine street expressway is open this morning. no issues on i-95 with speeds in the mid 50s, but a big day in
west vincent chester county, 401 closes at saint matthew's road for the next couple of months. happening today it is sentencing day for kathleen kane. the former pennsylvania attorney general will find out if she will face jail time for perjury and obstruction conviction. katherine scott has more. >> reporter: that's right, matt, kathleen kane will be at the courthouse this morning learning her fate today, is she going to prison over the perjury and obstruction case that ended her career. prosecutors are pushing for jail time saying the one time attorney general time and time again misused her personal authority to embarrass rival
prosecutors who left office. a jury convicted her of all nine counts. kathleen kane said the loss of her reputation is career is punishment enough. she wants to be sentenced to house arrest to be home to raise her two sons. the democrat had this to say in august on her final day as attorney general. >> i want to say to pennsylvanians i've been truly honored to serve them, it's been one of the greatest experiences of my life. since the trial, kane man free on bail. the sentencing takes place apt 10:00 a.m., live in norristown, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that. we have a wild scene in the kensington section of the city, a driver in a stolen car tried to run down an officer on a bicycle. police, of course, are after the driver. annie mccormick is live with more at police headquarters.
>> reporter: good morning, tam, luckily the police officer is okay, but the suspect is on the loose after police say while he was the wheel of a vehicle, he actually went after a police officer knocking him off his bike. this is video from the scene. police say it was in port richmond with a suspect behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle attempted to run over a bike officer on east russell street before 10:00 p.m. after knocking the officer off his bike, the driver continued south on ontario before ditching the alleged stolen vehicle on melville street before a block south of richmond street. the officer did not suffer any injuries when he was knocked off the bicycle. police officers are checking for surveillance video in the area. right now they are looking for the man who was behind the wheel. reporting live outside police headquarters, anne abbey channel
6 "action -- annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> a gas leak forced people to flee their homes in south philadelphia. a contractor was working on a water heater in a home when he hit the gas line. one man left the house to quickly he didn't have time to put on his shoes. >> he told us to get out. >> they told us very little. >> crews got the leak under control in three hours and everyone returned to their homes and businesses, no one was hurt. we are down to 15 days before election day and the latest polls are showing hillary clinton's bid for the white house getting stronger she is feeling enough comfort with her chances she is going to help democrats in the down ballot. donald trump's campaign said it's premature to count him out.

himself unfit for this office every single day, every single way. on the other side you got somebody who is as qualified as has ever run for the presidency, hillary clinton. >> reporter: and the new poll shows clinton a 20 points advantage with women and 3 point lead with men. channel 6 "action news." >> and there's another important question to consider when you walk into the polling place on election day, is it okay to take a picture of your ballot. in new jersey it's against the law to show their ballot to others. it would allow voters to take their own ballots in the voting booth and share that on social media. >> current law in pennsylvania it prohibits someone from

southbound headlights zipping along by the vine street expressway. it's open this morning, no construction there. crews will work tonight at 11:00 p.m. shutting down the vine. the boulevard extension looking good, headlights southbound passing ridge avenue heading toward the schuylkill expressway. the traffic on the boulevard is moving okay. bucks county there's construction at the interchange with the pennsylvania turnpike. most of the work is on the shoulder. not a big deal there. however, on the northeast extension of the turnpike we've seen slowing from time to time southbound because of a work zone near lansdale. and northbound in the right lane. 295 southbound, work going until 6:00 a.m. this morning. >> police are looking for the penn state fans who went over the top celebrating the football team's upset win over ohio

a new jersey state trooper is being praised on social media for an unusual rescue. dwayne philips rescued a deer from drowning, after getting stuck in a pool on friday. he grabbed the deer by its rack and pulled it from the water. the exhausted buck rested a bit before getting up and running off. >> new this morning, actor bill
