two south florida voters lucky to be alive after a close call in fort lauderdale posting a video of the crew rescuing two people that went overboard. they say the boaters were inexperienced in dealing with bad weather when the boat began to take on water. the man and woman reportedly had no life jackets. when rescuers arrive the man was barely able to keep her head above water. >> jeff: innocent people become targets of this sinister@ suspect's shooting ree. when he opened fire at random, at least 6 are dead and 24ths injured in michigan after the man started driving around and shting people and we're now learning the accused shooter was also a driver with uber. >> we had multiple people messaging us telling us you guys be careful. there's this killer going around. >> reporter: a night out in
a nightmare after police say 45-year-old jason dalton opened fire at random killing 6 people and seriously injuring two others. >> they weren't targeted for any reason other than they were there to be a target. they were shot multiple times. >> jeff: according to authorities it spanned 3 different locations. the first an apartment complex where a woman was shot 4 times. she remains in serious condition. several hours later police say dalton opened fire again at a car dealership where two men were shot and killed. and minutes later 4 people were gunned down in the parking lot of a cracker barrel restaurant. the 14-year-old girl also shot in critical condition. it would take police 2 more hours before catching up to daltonon >> a suspect vehicle was spotted in kalmazoo by the sheriff's deputy and the vehicle was followed a short distance and eventually it was stopped. the driver was indeed
he was taken into custody. >> reporter: a source with knowledge of the investigation says police believe dalton was a uber driver and picked up passengers in between the shootings. he's expected to be arraigned in court on monday afternoon. >> the next most important thing is to reassure everyone that there is no continuing threat to the safety of this community. >> reporter: and uber goes on for dalton being one of their drivers but the company isn't confirming information that came out on social media he was working the night of the attackck >> robbin: in the race for the white house, republican donald trump winning big in south carolina this weekend. and the gop field is getting smaller with former florida governor jeb bush dropping out. >> there's nothing easy about running for president, i can tell you. it's tough, it's nasty, it's mean. it's vicious.
