. this morning on "today's take," lochte bum-rushed in the ballroom. two men storm the stage, one is tackled by all that and more coming up now. from nbc news, this is "today's take" with al roker, tamron hall, and billy bush. live from studio 1a in rockefeller plaza. welcome to "today" on this tuesday morning. september 13th, 2016. if you forgot the year. i'm billy. tamron is here. al is not here.

"dancing with the stars," season 64. this is phenomenal! stay live here. >> they clearly need to
10:02 am
close? >> i think they had t-shirts like in their purses and put them on. they didn't walk in wearing those. >> the women in the t-shirts, i know how they get in. you can take off the top that you have above it. how this guy was able to bum-rush him. don't they have some kind of security around there? >> apparently derek hough. there is a report that he ran up there and yelled to the women, you get out of here, too. he was aiding in the security effort. afterward. a little rattled. >> i'm getting over it though. i honestly feels like someone reached inside, took out my heart and just stepped on it. i'm going to keep moving forward and i'm going to keep dancing. >> i'm sorry. ripped out my heart and stepped on it, i'm just going to keep on dancing. >> i know it happened. i know it is not fake. but his reaction makes me wonder what's going on. >> he's a little slow on the uptake. it's okay.
10:03 am
linked for life. >> but who were these people? the guys are identified as sam -- i wonder if they have brazilian roots and were offended by what he's done in rio? >> clear they are offended by him, hence the t-shirt. but are they sending a larger message? what's the line from "dirty dancing," nobody puts -- >> lochte in the corner? >> i for the 600th season. >> i'm glad we've identified these men. do we have absolute truth roker is on a college tour and wasn't in los angeles at the time? someone rushed the stage, my first thought was -- could it possibly be. >> there you go. i love that moment. i could watch that every day of my life. we are happy that he is okay. i think he should have taken break. i think you should not have gone
10:04 am
lay low. i know how you feel. i respect it. i just feel he needed some time to get to know himself. >> to get to know himself? >> like why would you do what you did? we all make mistakes. >> i'm going to go on the record here again and say what he did was embellishment. the liar, liar thing, in the end of the day, was a gun pulled on him? yes. was it pointed at his forehead? no. but was it pointed at him? yes. were they lying down on the ground? no. the ground. was money demanded from them in a foreign language, even the judge said that could be determined as robbery. i see that. so, yes, in that regard. then the police chief down there says that a bathroom was totally mauled and a soap dispenser was broken, the bathroom was never entered at all. he this couldn't get into the bathroom, so they went in the back. they peed in the bushes. that's not good. he walks back, there is a poster hanging loosely, he pulls that down.
10:05 am
a gun being pointed at you? the security guards, where are they? they've never been identified. to me, bring those guys forward. they're off-duty law enforcement guys were pointing guns at 6:00 in the morning? >> i understand. he was punished for a reasons. suspended for ten months for a reason. he has owned some of his lie. >> he has. but i think we -- collectively, the media in our country rushed a little too fast and to demonize lochte. it wasn't good. it was a bad night. even the guy who ran the olympics, the spokesman for the rio olympics, he said, look, bad night. not that big a deal. . s a bad ght. >> listen, perspective wise, listen, we've got more serious things happening in this country. >> we sure do. >> but nevertheless, i still think that -- you know. >> not his finest night and he deserves to apologize. >> and they need better security at "dancing with the stars" because that's just crazy. as i said, we have more serious
10:06 am
president, hillary clinton. secretary clinton phoned in to anderson cooper's show on cnn last night after she had appeared unsteady and required support on sunday. here's what she is saying now about her health. >> i probably would have been better off if i'd just pulled down my schedule on friday. but like a lot of people, i just thought i could keep going forward and power through it. obviously that didn't work out so well. i felt dizzy and i did lose my balance but once i got in, once i could sit down, once i could cool off, once i had some water, i immediately started feeling better. i just didn't think it was going to be that big a deal. >> so of course, secretary clinton was driven to her daughter's apartment, chelsea. she sounds good in that call. she is supposed to take a few days off. bill clinton was on saying that she will not be off the campaign trail for a couple of weeks. she is coming back within a week
