are drying out this morning. the spring heat coming our way. how long until the next rain chances arrive. good morning, carolina, welcome on wednesday february 17, 40 degrees and 4:30. i'm barbara gibbs. john: i'm john clark. thank you for joining us. before the sun we have a few spotty showers left to talk about. meteorologist don schwenneker is in first alert storm center tracking that. don: good morning to you. we have a couple of showers working through right now. a look afirst alert doppler xp and most of this rain light to moderate. nothing like yesterday. most of it in the northern part of the viewing area. we will throw this into motion and you see it tracking east-northeast. down in sanford you have a few showers and wake county and you see heavier rain in northern orange county into person county and toward henderson. that is sliding east. we will see the showers this morning but this afternoon more sunshine.
