the democratic primary only 3 weeks away. wyff news 4's corey davis spoke with clinton today about her mother's plan if elected. corey: today, chelsea clinton talked about her mother's plans and policies here at converse college. she covered a number of topics, including health care, women's rights, and college affordability. clinton spoke to a packed room of more than 100 people, mostly women of all ages. the event was part of a series called women for hillary. today clinton talked a lot about family. she said she would add to what's already in place under the affordable care act. she said she would work through the court system to eliminate what she called discrimination based on gender, orientation and color. today i asked clinton would her mother would connect to thousands in the region that work in the manufacturing industry. chelsea: she has a strong manufacturing plan. it's partly why she's so focused on the minimum wage. it's partly why she's so focused

corey: clinton says her mother's families. clinton did tell someone in the audience that her mother and father will probably be in south carolina some time before the democratic primary. corey davis, wyff news 4 in spartanburg county. patrick: thank you corey. chelsea clinton just wrapped up in preventing clemson university. the democratic primary is februry 27. and the republican primary is a week earlier on the 20th. republican frontrunner donald trump making stops in south carolina. trump interrupted his busy campaign schedule in new hampshire to campaign in the palmetto state yesterday. thousands of people packed the florence civic center. trump is the frontrunner ahead of tuesday's new hampshire primary. but here, all eyes are on the south carolina primaries. as the pundits will tell you, south carolina is the political gateway to the south. several upcoming campaign visits to note. donald trump will visit the upstate next week.

t ed garrison arena in pendleton on wednesday. doors open at 5:00 and the event starts at 7:00. it's free to attend, but you need to reserve a ticket online. we will have more on the race in new hampshire in just a few minutes, including up-to-date. -- including that debate. back in the upupate, greenville police are asking for help as they search for a missing 16-year-old. police are looking for isaiah mustafa. he was last seen at the embassy suites on verdae boulavard yesterday afternoon. his mother says he needs medications and could be experiencing health problems by later tonight. if you can help find isiah, you should call greenville police. two gaffney high school students were killed and 2 more injured in a crash. the crash happened yesterday afternoon on highway 211 near wilkerson road in york county. the york county coroner identified the victims as 17-year-old dominick galosi and 18-year-old shemar byers. authorities say the suv carrying the teens left the roadway and

there is no word on what caused the suv to leave the roadway. the crash remains under investigation. woodruff police are searching for this man, adriel garnett in connection with a deadly shooting. police say the shooting happened early this morning and that garnett may be headed to the charleston area. if you can help locate garnett, you should call crimestoppers. a shooting at an upstate drug store remains under investigation tonight. greenville county deputies say a woman was shot outside the parker road drug store last night. no arrests have been made, and the woman's condition is unknown at this time. south carolina highway patrol officers are investigating a fatal single-car wreck. the crash happened this morning around 1:00 a.m. on howell road near botany road in greenville , county. officials say the driver, identified as iamme watts, was heading north on howell road when the car ran off the roadway and struck a tree. super bowl.

patrick: an upstate family is calling for changes to state domestic violence laws. the group is called "riley's hope," and it's named after 11-year-old riley tippett, who was fatally shot in a domestic violence incident. now the group is calling for expanded victims rights for anyone caught in an abusive relationship. >> this has happened to a lot of women and children. there are so many gaps. we're hoping we can close those gaps and fill them in and get equal victim's rights for anybody who has been abused as a child or as an adult. patrick: governor nikki haley has formed a task force to look at ways to help stop domestic violence in south carolina. a state agency says north carolina does not need to add new regulations to zip lines. the department of labor was asked to write the report after a 12-year-old zip-liner died in a fall this summer in the blue ridge mountains. the news & observer of raleigh

by lawmakers after the girl's death, the state labor department is saying most zip lines deaths are caused by human error. the report says zip lines are more like sports with active participants rather than amusement park rides, where participation is more passive. now to pickens county, where robots descended on easleyeyigh school today. the championship dubbed as trash trek featured robots made out of legos. nearly 400 students grades 4th through 8th competed on teams during today's event. the goal was to design, build, and program robots sent on missions involving trash and recycling. teams traveled from across the state to compete today. right now students in pickens county are able to begin engineering as early as kindergarten. wow. chris: our carolina panthers are almost to the super bowl. tomorrow's whether here should not be a gametime. loads of sunshine.

a gorgeous, sunny day. on the cool side. temperatures in the 40's. a clear night tonight means it's going to be cool. greenville starting out at 31. spartanburg, 28. anderson at 29. asheville the coldest spot at 23 degrees. with dry conditions we wanted up nicely. greenville and anderson at 40 degrees. asheville at 44 degrees a bit below where we should be. . live super doppler 4 hd shows systems. a coastal storm will affect areas like myrtle beach, snowfall. while a second system moving away throughout the day monday will arrive towards tennessee. temperatures are cool outside. 47 in greenville. 48 in anderson. 39 in asheville. tonight expect the winds tuesday, at 5-10 miles per hour.

in the air mixed up enough that temperatures will not be too terribly cold. 36 in greenville. asheville. tomorrow, loads of sunshine. 35 degrees to start. middle 50's tomorrow. a bit warmer than we had a today. in spartanburg, 34 degrees first thing in the morning. 54 by 2:00. anderson first thing. but by the afternoon, feeling good in the middle 50's. in asheville, starting at 29 but warming up to the 40's. look for highs to be the coldest in the mountains. lower 40's, while 50's are common across the upstate. it is the downslope wind that changes things in the upstate. a change coming our way as cold air moves in early in the week. a blocking pattern starts to set up. let me timeout on the models. here's the coastal storms that arise tonight into tomorrow morning. with cold air in place, areas east of here could see a bit of

morning. all that is going to state no east of here. -- to stay well east of here. in raleigh, 1-2 inches are possible. i would not be surprised if wilmington or myrtle beach could a seat a bit of -- could see a b it of wet snow. even tomorrow, some of that snow could go back towards wilmington. enough to give them a lot of rainfall. then our attention turns to the northwest with the next system moving in monday morning. we will see snow showers start from the tennessee border counties in the mountains. a big caps off starts to -- a big tourough starts to dig across the area, sending much colder air our way. light snow showers start across the mountains monday afternoon. some of those will be rain showers in the upstate, mixed with snow as temperatures cool monday evening. then this note creeps up towards

that is where it will stay on tuesday and wednesday, were a couple inches are possible. the latest computer models showing in the greenville-spartanburg-anderson area, a dusting to open to an inch possible. we will be closer to the dusting line. for the hendersonville-asheville, gfs and of the european models in great agreement that around 1-3 inches are possible. asheville northbound on the tennessee border. we watched closely. snow will fall in the mainly carolina mountains. a dusting being possible with the vigor snow flurries in the upstate. most of us will not see snow in the upstate. it will be the northern parts. dusting. sunshine tomorrow. cold as we head into monday.

flurries by the evening. snow continues in the mountains tuesday and wednesday, especially along the tennessee border. it gets frigid, patrick. middle of next week we see some of the coldest air we have had all winter long. highs in the upper 30's. certainly very chilly all around town. patrick: i would imagine right at the beginning of the week, you will have some kids keeping their eye on how much accumulation there is whether or not schools go off. i don't think we are going out far, though. chris: it will not be that big of a deal. some areas on the tennessee the asheville-hendersonville area for that to happen. but i did visit some of those cool kids mountain view elementary. here is there -- here are their newscasters there. patrick: is that a green screen? chris: it is. group of kids. i talked to the kindndgarten class there at mountain view.
