in new hampshire, a second or third place finish in south carolina is critical for the bush campaign. tim waller, wyff news 4 in greenville. carol: according to campaign tracker, marco rubio campaigned across the state today. appearing first with governor nikki haley in columbia, then onto pawleys island, hilton head, and charleston. tonight he will hold a rally at clemson at 7:30. carol: donald trump, ted cruz, that person, and john kasich -- ben carson and john kasich spent time in the midlands and low country. ted cruz will appear with phil robertson of duck dynasty at the greenville marriott. mark sanford endorsed ted cruz in charleston earlier today. carol: there has been a good turnout for absentee voters. we asked a number of people about the line and their feelings now that the vote has been cast. >> no, actually was very nice

his fiancee, debbie blair told us that he met burnett a few years ago after her losing her husband in 2002. she is now starting over again. the family is still trying to wrap their minds around the accident. >> i do not expect him to be gone when he left for work yesterday morning. corey: that was the last time she saw burnett. he was on his way to pick up his truck from penske on whitehorse road was hit by a car that was being chased a greenville county deputies. it all ended yesterday morning as the intersection of highway 153 and highway 81. burnett's pickup truck was crumpled. the coroner said he died on impact. burnett will be laid to rest on sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the robinson memorial gardens on powdersville road in easley. as for dexter reeves, the man chased by deputies, he was denied bond today. cory davis, wyff news 4 live in mauldin.

anderson county deputies are looking for a man ... who got away in handcuffs. deputies say 23-year-old zachary brady escaped in handcuffs from the s-c probation.. parole and pardon office this morning around ten. officials say he was out on probation for criminal domestic violence. they say he left... in a silver toyota camry with north carolina plates. again ... still ni the cuffs. if you see brady or know anything about his whereabouts... call 9-1-1. there will be no social media postings from jail. that from officers in pickens carol: there will be no social media things from jail. three suspects of murder current to the camera and asked --three suspects of murder turned to the camera and asked for follows on social media. today, the pickens county chief told wyff news 4 that inmates

chanthe author of the pulitzer prize winning novel "to kill a carol: the author of the pulitzer prize winning novel "to kill a mococng bird" has died. harper lee was 89-years-old. the book was published in 1960. it defined the racial troubles of the deep south. the following year, lee won the pulitzer prize. last year, mockingbird's sequel "go set a watchman" was published. michael: back here at home, expect some lane closures this weekend on interstate 85.
