greer police want to identify two people they believe are connected to a shooting there. officers say a man was shot in the head monday afternoon at oakland place apartments. they say the man was sitting in a parked car at the complex and was taken to greer memorial hospital by his cousin. police say he was transferred to greenville memorial and his injuries are not life threatening. to greenville now, an approved quiktrip could soon become a reality. but it's coming with some backlash. allyson: wyff news 4's aly myles joins us live from the proposed site in the west end with more. aly: good morning. cold and rainy out today. the day to bundle up like dale was telling you. behind me, very wet roads and the roads currently looking at markley and academy. council approved zoning changes last night for this lot. that clears the way for q.t. to seeks building permits from the

allyson: not much. explain to us the process on the online interviews. benton blount: it is one of the craziest because you can audition so many different ways. they have open calls and there is one more in dallas if you want to take your trip, but you can audition online. if you go online, there are tons of different ways to video, i with yourself ball, computer and they don't win it super polished but just you and your talent. geoff: usually a couple of minutes? benton blount: i believe they want to minutes maximum so you have to condense your talent which is cap sometimes but they want to make sure you can do that. allyson: it is taken seriously because you did that. benton blount: i did. i had a newborn and it was hard for me to travel, so i auditioned online and played for them and got through to the show.

initially when you made that cut from thousands? benton blount: just to get on the show in general was surprising because my son was in the back when i auditioned. he might have actually gotten me there, but it was amazing. geoff: what is next for you with another child coming? benton blount: another child in a couple of breaks and just traveling a lot with new music coming out in a couple of weeks and we will keep doing what we're doing. geoff: congrats. benton blount: thank you.

threatening. allyson: traffic news at the spartanburg where the moped ran into the back of a wrecker, killing the moped driver. the coroner says it happened yesterday afternoon at the intersection of north pine and east daniel morgan avenue. the coroner says 51-year-old keith harrelson was driving the moped and died at spartanburg regional medical center. geoff: an update to that coal ash dispute in pickens county. an upstate judge has ruled against the north carolina company. mrr is suing pickens county for $25 million, saying the county can not prevent it from using the landfill for coal ash. in the meantime, the company filed a motion to stop pickens from delaying its plans. a judge denied the motion yesterday and ruled mrr could not dump any coal ash while the case goes forward. allyson: meanwhile, controversy seneca, where officials are expected to discuss the request to remove across on government property. it is outside the water

presidential candidates will be in columbia tonight with a town hall and usc campus. hillary clinton and bernie sanders will answer questions and it is expected to get underway at 8:00 tonight. south carolina primary is set for this saturday. geoff: meanwhile, gop hopefuls are focused on the nevada caucus. last night, thousands showed up for a rally for donald trump. donald trump seeks more momentum ahead of super tuesday next week. meanwhile, ted cruz has asked his medication director to resign after he tweeted a false story that marco rubio consulted the bible. let's get another look at the traffic. allyson: watching roads closely with all this water and rain causing slow down. in greenville on i-85 on woodruff road, the main slow down problem with an accident and injuries.
