you have records potentially been broken everywhere from texas to new hampshire. not only today but in some areas tomorrow will be another record-breaking day. you have heat advisories in effect today and even lingering into tomorrow for some areas of the northeast, stretching from northern delaware into new hampshire. it's the combination of not only the heat but the humidity. so that feels-like temperature is often several degrees warmer than the air temperature itself. right now in washington, dc, the temperature itself is 91. but it feels like it's 94. philadelphia, 93. but it feels like it's 96. again, humidity may not be all that high but it is enough to bring that heat level back up to where it feels as though it's even more. and heat is one of the components that's also helping to fuel some severe thunderstorms in some of these areas. right now, the main focus is across areas of the midwest and the great lakes region. we do have a severe thunderstorm watch, that's the yellow area you see, this includes indianapolis as well as cincinnati, valid until 7:00 p

you have heat advisories out from northern delaware stretching up to new hampshire. this includes boston, new york and philadelphia. d.c. and new york -- and philadelphia have the potential to break or tie their records today. new york is going to be close but likely just a degree or two shy. same thing with boston but getting very close. it's very short-lived and that heat goes away. take new york, for example, 91 for the high on sunday. back down to 65 on tuesday, which would actually be below normal. same thing for boston, same thing for philadelphia seeing those temperatures go from 15 to 20 degrees above normal to 10 degrees below normal. speaking of cold air the calender says late may but mother nature clearly did not get that memo. look at the snow showers making their way through areas of southern colorado and eastern portions of of colorado as we speak. this is on top of all the snow that's been dumped in the last 12 to 24 hours. several locations picking up at least a foot of snow, alex, not only in colorado but also portions of of wyoming as well. but it's
