danielle niles joins us with the forecast. >> the moisture from the storm extends back to the gulf. so it's rain right now but as the colder air works in that's over. so the latest as of a few minutes ago is the winter storm watch has been expanded now to include boston and norfolk county and southern worcester itself. a.m. tomorrow. this will be upgraded to a warning by the time we get to later today. rest of the day today temperatures into the upper 40s this evening. a couple leftover showers and that will fill in as the steadier rain between 10p.m. and midnight tonight. rain right? temperatures still in the upper 30s to low 40s but colder air continues to work in by predawn tomorrow it's rain in southeastern massachusetts and snow back up in through southern new hampshire. at first, we are talking about roads being more wet than white when the snow comes down but as colder air spills in then the roads will get a little treacherous so snowfall rates 1 to 2 inches per hour possible at the height of this which comes during morning commute. by midday, a lot of the snow starting to wr

niles who has been tracking the storm overnight into the early morning hours what's going on now. >> just want to confirm a couple minutes but looked at observations out of nantucket and we have verified blizzard conditions on nantucket and parts of the cape. three consecutive hours in a rowwith visibility less than quarter of a mile with gust over 5 miles per hour. i believe we have done that -- over 35 miles per hour. i believe we have done that. this is different consistency than the snow on friday because temperatures are colder. we have had reports of four parts of the cape where you see the deeper blues here fromchatham splitting the vineyard and nantucket where we have a heavy band of snow and another little burst that extends through plymouth near the cape cod canal. adviceic is reduced and -- visibility is reduceded and quarter of a -- reduced a quarter of a mile or less. it's a fluffier consistency. a little lighter in eastern massachusetts in 128. outside of that we are talking about 495 bullet moderate pockets from merrimack and westburg and littleton and bolton right now

danielle niles is tracking this and has the first look at the very light snow ed. >> i not going to have a big impact in terms of through the remainder of the day today because it's so light. so it looks nice and there may be a couple scattered coatings. temperatures is right around 30 in the city of worcester and low 30s in boston and light flakes but the ground is warm enough and not is coming down hard enough to create an impact. stray flurries along the plymouth and bristol county coastlines and you back up into the 495 belt and flurries in mansfield and worcester. there's some coatings west of route 91 and through flurries and light showers along the 128 to newton and in the city of boston through medford and maldin so snow showers. see the deeper blues you may get a brief burst of steadier heavier snow through the early evening hours and the skies look at that. clouds fill back in tomorrow. and we get another round of scattered snow showers that may drop a coating to perhaps as much as an inch. so low impact events but don't be caught off guard and look at this the average temperat
