>> rob marciano with us tonight. rob, thank you. >>> we turn next here to the other major story tonight, the deadly plane crash. the images of that team celebrating along the way on their journey. but then, the flight overnight crashing, nearly the flight was carrying a brazilian soccer team to a finals match, crashing on a hillside in colombia. and we have just learned here what happened right before that crash. that team had so much to look forward to. celebrating a cinderella rise on their way to a playoff game. 71 people killed. but miraculously, six were found outside the plane, somehow they survived. abc's david kerley on what happened in those final moments. intact, having slammed into a hill. through the day, the grim task of recovering the bodies of the 71 onboard who were killed. but remarkably, those six survivors found away from the fuselage. it was to be a joyous trip for the regional brazilian soccer team, the chapecoense. making a big tournament for the first time in its history. documenting their trip

rob marciano starts us off tonight. >> reporter: tonight, much of >> it's been raining nonstop for about 14 hours. >> reporter: more than seven inches of rain falling near the oregon coach. this holiday weekend, portland dealing with submerged streets. >> some moderate street flooding all over the city. >> reporter: workers unclogging trains. rain turning above 3,000 feet. over a foot of snow blanketing the mountains, making driving extremely dangerous. in washington state, a chain reaction crash, shutting down blewett pass. speed and icy roads being blamed. road crews racing to keep highways clear, and warning drivers. >> any corner you go around, you can be turning a corner into heavier snow. weekend. so what's the drive home going to look like? >> it's going to hit the entire west coast. storm number two comes in, watches and warnings posted from canada all the way down to mexico, with winter storm warnings as well. could see two feet in the mountains. the rain goes all the way down to san diego. and throughout the inner mountain west, salt airports could be a mess. and the roads on s

meteorologist rob marciano is tracking it all for us live tonight. rob? >> reporter: hi, david. you know, this year, the tornado count is below average. and we've seen very few this fall. but tonight, the setup is right for multiple spots. we've got watch boxes up for louisiana, mississippi and alabama until 9:00. and then, those tornadoes reported in iowa, a little further north, closer to the low where there's more spin. and more on the back side of that, more snow going to be blowing in the dakotas the next two days. the rain moves east and will be in the northeast, the big cities by 6:00 tomorrow night. it will make for a messy commute. extreme drought in new england, they will take this rain. extreme drought in the southeast, and the fire zone, this will put some of the fires out. definitely good news there. david? >> tracking it all tonight for us. rob, thank you. >>> next this moay your money. a few hours left in this cyber monday, as they now call it. records already broken in online sales over the thanksgiving holiday. abc's chief business correspondent rebecca jarvis t
