77 south going towards akron. so nikki, how are things looking? i think you're constantly moving around. are you seeing any improvements out there on the road? >> nichole: absolutely not. it's brutal out here on 77 south. take a look at these roads. they're completely snow-covered, guys, and the wind gusts, which is making things even worse, they're making visibility very poor. you can see how snow-covered these roads are. super slick. we are traveling about 30 miles per hour just to show you how slow going it is. now, traffic in the other direction heading north towards the city, even more slow going, and even more traffic. obviously, building, so that makes it more tough for odot crews to be able to tackle the snow building on these roads but the odot crews are out. we've seen several of them trying to do what they can to clear these roads, and we've this morning. we've been on the main routes like route 82, route 43, route 14 out in streetsboro and they're still slushy and slippery and the side streets are even

we have a lot of commuters making that commute from canton to akron and akron to canton and some low visibility and struggling a quarter of a mile. and we have some fog on top of this and this is a messy situation. and this is a look at accumulation and we're talking four to eight inches and parts farther south and some of the heavier snow is in summit and stark county, the areas of portage county and parts-of- ravena and into the west, you're not worried about accumulation and this is sticking around throughout the when we start to get a reprieve about 8:00 and you're on the roads there, on the east side and you will get hit. ashtabula county, it will rev up for you and after lunchtime, we'll see things taper down and temperatures in the low 30s all the while. and we could be seeing a lot of farther south. the power of five seven-day forecast, what you will. >> is -- notice is we do reach temperatures of 49 or 50 and we have to make it through the wintery weather this morning. over to you. >>> and we mentioned difficult driving conditions on route 77 and that is where we are. the fu

notice akron some lighter snows. ravenna, it's light. barberton, same story. but we're really drying out in the wooster area. here's the trough slading southward. as i mentioned at the top of the show we're going transition to a little bit of lake-effect snow coming in off of lake erie. there will be one or two, maybe maximum three bands, skinny bands of briefly moderate snow. i'm not sure that these bands are going to set up over any one location for very long. one to three additional inches of snow. there's one band through cleveland, all the way down to akron into canton, from the oat us the one accounts skinny band hear. ashtabula county, if that band sets up over you, you could see more than three inches of snow here. but we will to have wait and see. these things tend to wave around a little bit. but the general snow is basically fading fast for everyone. 28 for medina. 30 in wooster. 31 in akron. 28 currently in men tore. we've got wind gusts above 30 miles per hour. ashtabula, jefferson at 31. that gives us windchills in the teens. it is back to winter
