50 years ago, lyndon baines johnson declared the war on poverty. his heart was in the right place. under president obama, income inequality has gotten worse. more people are in poverty than ever before. his policies have not worked. their liberal policies are good every four years for a campaign but they don't get the job done. the only policies that will reach into the hearts of american people and pull people out of poverty and break the cycle of poverty are republican principles, conservative principles. family formation education good jobs. we are going to bring them to the american people and finally end the scourge of poverty in this great land. [applause] i believe in the post-obama era we need to stand for safety and opportunity for all people regardless of the neighborhood they come from. we have to stand for helping lift people out of poverty. i should tell you the last few days the most frequently asked question i get is, what does ann think of this?
